    Should XIV add more end game combat content.

    A simple question.

    Should XIV throw more development resources at the Endgame combat content of the game to keep players engaged with the game after savage tiers, and in-between content releases?

    This would not impact the current content releases of the game, but be an extra for those people that wish to have more 'above average' content to do throughout the droughts.

    The casual player base would not be affected by the extra content, as it is optional and not required. The rewards would simply be an alternative to savage/tomestone gearing as the content would release 8-16 weeks after savage.

    Yes or No?

    Please keep the arguments to a minimum.

    No. simply putting more resources towards that content for the small amount that raid overall would delay new content thats meant to be worked on.

    Which is why i simply stated that it would be extra content, that is not reflected in the current content releases of the game. FF16 development is over and they now have more resources to throw at XIV, this wouldn't affect the current 'more of the same' content structure that we have.

    They dont even have to make new content just better utilise what we currently have i.e remove weekly lockouts sooner, increase weekly tomes to 900, make relic quest a bit more meatier.

    Absolutely yes, Even if I get busy and don't have time to run it on release it its a win to have content to go back to when I do have a chance.

    I would have agreed until I read "casual player base"

    you really need to lay your elitism aside. like it or not, for good or bad, this game is made for a lot more people than catering to a sweatlord mentality. SE is a company and the sole aim of any company, is to make money. regardless of if XVI is done now or not, the company will decide where the money goes, and I wouldnt hold your breath about it suddenly appearing in the XIV coffers. The only way that would happen is if they were dead set on keeping XIV going and there was a huge bleeding of subs so they had to throw money at it to improve or change things to stop the bleeding.

    more content? I dont think anyone would disagree. but it may not be content you like, nor even end game. its always hard to say, but after years of gaming, one thing I have learned is that whatever game companies do in regards to adding in "end game content" no one is usually happy for long. after all, wasnt that Island Sanctuary requiring level 90 to unlock? so that was "end game content" and wasnt a stellar success... in fact, I think I recall you werent happy with it. so, more end game sure.. just dont expect it to conform to your liking.

    As a casual player myself, I would agree to adding more end-game content that can optionally be attended to, which would provide some form of entertainment and/or reward for the players who do partake in it. As a casual player, I may find myself partaking just because it might actually give me something to do.
    But if I decide to play Genshin Impact instead (as I usually do, lately), then I can play that optional content some other time if I can be bothered.

    So, a +1 from me.

    Just to add on, make variant/criterion dungeons worth doing past the initial clear.
