4 hours in Jeuno for a party? There was a super easy fix for that... Play BRD or RDM. You'll get ppl asking you to party with them even while /anon trying to hide from them when you don't want to join a party. :P

Very true! I actually was playing BRD endgame, the most boring experience ever but you were popular, that's for sure.

I doubt they ever will kill 11 even when it makes little money, cause it's a numbered title.

1. you can do the whole storyline with Trusts, You can also form a party with Other players and Trusts, and also join a LS, players will be happy to help out if any content your stuck with.

2. while FFXI doesn't have a cash shop like XIV, it's still very much profitable, again I pay more for FFXI than FFXIV because the mog wardrobes ( I only have up to mog wardrobes 5 unlock there are 8 total, which total cost me about 20$ monthly), as you know, unlike xiv, gearswapping is very much necessary at endgame so you will be having alot of equipment that is needed and there are people who have like 6 or 3 alts with all mog 8 wardrobes unlocked. You do the math. it's add ups

I'm fully aware of the trust system, I still play 11 actively.

So I think you missed my point, 11 is a numbered FF, and Square Enix is unlikely to kill it off and make it unavailable. That's the exact reason we got FF14 ARR, it's a numbered FF.

ohh my bad, a classic server? hmm I started FFXI three years ago so I couldn't say a classic server for me but would I try it? yes as long as I can choose Dancer since it's my main and they added Chemist like that trust in Jueno, or new jobs that would be cool.

my Yagrush was very very time consuming lol, like 50x harder than any relic grinding I have done on XIV, it's my prized possession.

Very nice! Yag is a great REMA. Mythics are the worst in terms how much grind you have to do (don't get me starting on the metal plates for Empy weapons)

In the 20-year anniversary AMA, they made it sound like a joint subscription is in the works, or not opposed to the idea, so we can always hope. I don't think it will be included for "free" with our base sub in 14 though. Just give me a discount, SE.
