    You can gear swap on casters though. At least the jewelry stuff and you'll receive the benefits of the swapped gear. However is it worth it?

    I don't understand people who want gearswapping. Gearswapping is really only for min-maxers, and the majority of players aren't that kind of person.

    Do I speak for anyone besides myself when I say that there are a lot of people who would rather NOT carry around 30-40 pieces of gear and 8 different staves used for their spellcasting, simply to perform within the allowable range of their job, and on top of that they need a whole book of macros dedicated to one job, SIMPLY for swapping gear and using JAs or spells?
    I don't think any average player would enjoy that in the least.

    Keep gearswapping out of this game, especially in the middle of a fight.

    Swapping gear takes the fun out of the game by turning it into a pointless equipment hoarding and macro building experience with the objective of min-maxing and squeezing in few single-digit %s in parsers. I'm completely against it. You should research which piece of gear affects your overall performance in every battle situation and stick to it.

    Gear swaps were understandable in FFXI because you HAD to make macros unless you wanted to navigate a million menus. In FFXIV you already have all your abilities there and I don't see the point for redundantly making a macro for each ability like in FFXI. They should furthermore prevent casters from gear swapping too since melee can't do it and that's an unfair advantage. Apart from that, I get sick every time I see casters disappearing or blinking for 3-4 seconds before casting a spell, and I know they're swapping gear. It completely ruins my immersion.

    We'll take it into consideration.

    Seconded. Let gear swaps stay in FFXI and stay far away from our neck of the woods.

    This can be easily addressed as follows:

    Battle Adjustments

    -Party enmity is now shared. Equipment cannot be changed so long as anyone in the party has accrued enmity with the enemy.

    * The sad thing is that FFXIV turned RDM into a turret, and people think that's what it's supposed to be. It's supposed to combine sword and magic into something more, not spend the bulk of gameplay spamming spells and jump into melee for only 3 GCDs before scurrying back to the back line like good little casters.
    * Design ideas:

    I agree with this so much, keep gear swapping away from XIV. My best friend and I played XI from release til xiv came out, maybe we're in the older (age wise 29 and 30, respectively) bracket of players (I don't really know for sure) but we both work full time and never were able to complete the more hard core quests for stuff which would have been useful to swap out. And we were given a lot of flack for it. And many of the people in our current LS are not playing XIV 40+ hours a week, either. I don't know many people who have that kind of time, in game. So please, no gear swapping. Inventory can get cluttered easily as it is already.

    I can understand the need of it for XI....but I don't see any reason you would honestly need it in XIV
