    PS4 Cannot Start Game - No Account

    Hi all, hoping that someone here can help me (my friend) with this issue. He bought the started edition to try the game, but is met with the "No valid service account is available to play Final Fantasy XIV" whenever he tries to login.

    I have verified that he has an account in the mogstation, it has nothing linked to it. We have tried creating a new account only to get the notice that an account already exists for that email (the account above created). He has deleted and downloaded the game several times which has made no difference. What are we missing to make this work? Thanks in advance for any help.

    The account doesn't have a PS4 version registration code linked to it.

    You have to link the PS4 Starter Edition to the SE Account that he is trying to login with.

    And you can only do so through the PS4, you can't add PS4/5 registration codes directly on the Mogstation via PC for example.

    So, if he just bought the Starter Edition on the PS4, he needs to Link the Service Account (game) to the Square-Enix Account that he's trying to login with, via the Store page link.

    Thanks for the response. All accounts show linked under the square enix page online. It shows the PSN account and the ffxiv account. However, the mogstation still shows no game. Really unclear what steps to take to figure out how to log him in and play.
