6.4 patch speculation

I'm assuming the dungeon is some kind of way to the 13th and were going to fight golbez in the moon also they can put a 2nd or 3rd phase to implement zeromus or fuse with zero and the dragon and golbez in some way to make zeromus or zeromus himself will appear after kicking golbez ass if they somehow try to go with ff4 script but I'm certain he will show up in the next patches or even expansion or could do 2 world's in 7.0 where you go to myracydia or somewhere in eytheris and go back and forth in the 13th or void like they did with shb. But who knows knowing them they will do some kind of main entry merge to have some nostalgia.

Elemental swords that serve as seals to Zodiark.

Elemental thrones on the moon in the crater where Golbez resides.

Elemental lords of Earth, Wind, Water and Fire.

Golbez in FFIV uses Ice (chains), Lightning and well Fire too. But only Fire II, whereas for Lightning he uses Lightning III.


Maybe we'll find out that those things are connected in 6.4, but I doubt it!

Lodestone has been updated with the patch's title and teaser art.

It's called 'The Dark Throne', all but shouting you fight Golbez

Pretty clear also that the dark dragon behind Golbez in the art is a possessed/darkness corrupted Azdja, as mentioned by others in this thread. Still,poor Vrtra, having to put down his beloved sister given by now she'd be too far corrupted by the dark to save.

And Lahabrea's glyph above Golbez's head (fitting given the patch has the conclusion to Pandaemonium in it).

Can't wait for the trailer!

Few things

1. You can see the dragon (Azdaja more than likely) grasping for Golbez's sword. I don't have any conclusions to make other than maybe Azdaja is more pro-active in whatever is to come than what I previously thought.
2. The side of the Lahabrea's glyph mask shown definitely seems to imply more Hephaistos, as the original pandemonium art and the cutscene where Lahabrea splits himself in the Abyssos raids, they both showcase the right side of the split glyph mask, and the 6.4 art shows the left side. I guess we can put to rest any theory that Hephaistos sneakily changed places with Lahabrea or something of the sort.

Whilst I have no doubt it won't happen, it seems a pity that no-one has considering asking Hraesvelgr to assist them. In fact, do we know whether anyone has apprised him of the situation?

The world's least surprising reveal on that art, given who it's of, but there is something a little curious about it.

Don't we have one of Azdaja's eyes? So why do I see two of 'em in that picture?

Is it just me or does this seem to heavily imply that one of Lahabrea's halfs has something important to do with Golbez? I don't see why they would tease the raid again, considering 6.2's art was all dedicated to it...

It could just be a neat way of getting it in there, without actually being connected.

See for example, Lahabrea being pictured in the Eden-themed poster art for 5.4 without having any real reason to be there in the end besides "something about Ascians".
