M'naago delivery quest is pretty much the only Ala Mhigo "restoration" we're going to have
M'naago delivery quest is pretty much the only Ala Mhigo "restoration" we're going to have

Umm.... forgive me if this is a dumb question, and I know it's not lore related, but....
Is Mount "Rokkon" a deliberate play on words? Is it attempting to invoke Mount "Rock ON!"?
I apologize if this is decoupling the thread from it's purpose, I simply didn't see any better place to ask it.
That's a very intriguing proposition, I cannot lie. Could we receive a revelation that will change what we think we know about the nature Voidsent fundamentally? Most of that lore was established in ARR and Heavensward eras, so now would be an ideal time to launch a bomb into our midst I'd wager. I'm hungering like Y'shtola right now. Give me that juicy knowledge, Square!Yoshi-p's comment that 6.4 will have different meaning/understanding after 6.5 kinda points to this idea that Golbez isn't exactly what we think he is.
Last time Yoshi-p spoke like this was about 5.2 and 5.3, where information we learned in 5.3 (that Elidibus was a primal and still alive as the heart of Zodiark) changed the meaning of something from 5.2 (being that Venat was specifically used to create the heart of Hydealyn) which then had major implications later in the story (Venat's role in Endwalker, past and present).
So we are going to be handed a crucial piece of lore pertaining to Golbez and his throne, but won't really understand the consequences of it until later in the story.

Nah. "Rokkon" is a Japanese word used in Buddhism that refers to the six senses (the mind/consciousness is considered the sixth sense in this context, if I understand correctly). Phonetically, both o's in "Rokkon" sound like "oh".

So I checked out the 6.4 site today for fun and I saw something. There is a tagline now below the page heading "New Story" that I don't think was there before: In Shadow Looms the Usurper's Seat
Forgive me if this is old news and I am just blind. lol
But, yeah, so I guess that title ties in to the Japanese title of the patch being "The Throne's Criminal". Usurpers are people who criminally take a throne. Which either hints that Golbez isn't the original occupant of said throne, or that he's going to be usurped. I'm guessing the former, though it might be both.
As for what the throne is, then, (b/c this all implies to me that there was a "throne" prior to Golbez taking it) maybe its just him having repurposed the Watcher's "palace" on the 13th's moon, having killed that shard's watcher. (Or at least destroyed or absorbed him, cus I'm not sure they're technically alive enough to die?) Or maybe the throne in question is referring to Zodiark's role in things, and just saying that Golbez has set up shop in the Cradle of Darkness, "usurping" his rightful place?
Also, how likely is it that Golbez has eaten the piece of Zodiark that used to be on this shard, you think?
Or perhaps that bit of Zodiark is what the ascians screwed up with on the 13th. The 13th was their first try at their plans. What if, before they came up with the rejoining of worlds plan, they tried to just go straight to unsealing the part of zodiark on the shard and the piece got absorbed by the lifestream or dispersed/destroyed and that was what ultimately resulted in making a "useless void" of the 13th.

Random, but an add on to my last post: The “o” in “Throne” in the patch title is the auto attack symbol from in game. I doubt it means anything at all but it was really bugging me that it felt so familiar and yet I couldn’t place it. Then I was messing around with macros and saw. So yeah. Guess someone saw how practically no one ever uses the actual button and was like “This art asset shall not die!” lol
Wait, auto attack? Auto attacking means somebody isn't putting their heart into it...Random, but an add on to my last post: The “o” in “Throne” in the patch title is the auto attack symbol from in game. *tinfoil hat comes on*
Golbez will not be throwing his full power at us in the trial so we can win, which will actually set his real plan into motion!
*takes off tinfoil hat*

Golbez is Fandaniel confirmed. lol
Is that Fandaniel's symbol? I was hoping it would be Pashtarot.

I think people were saying it’s Lahabrea’s? Which I assume ties in to the final tier of pandemonium being in this patch.
I just said Fandaniel jokingly cus his whole Zodiark plan matched the behavior RyuDragnier was describing. Didn’t mean to cause confusion.
It's the symbol above Golbez right at the end of the trailer.
