No, can confirm it doesn't get that dark at any point in the regular cycle on Mare Lamentorum. Speaking of, the lighting itself seems a little darker, and someone pointed something out to me on Twitter about it:

From that angle, the wispy light from the Zodiark Hole should be visible.

Oh it looks like those who thought Gosetsu would be our flex might be right with them having Yugiri in that new duty support picture.

Ahh, so that's what is happening then.

Golbez may be trying to link the 13th's moon to the Source's moon or the moon of all the shards. At which point that could potentially link them to a lifestream and allow the Voidsent to experience permanent death. But the aftereffects of it could cause a lot of problems for everyone. We're likely going to kill him, at which point he'll basically have died a martyr. A martyr...Igeyohrm?

Golbez is definitely on the 13th's moon, so its possible he's trying to do that. Or just waiting for us to do it, at which point he'll take advantage.

I don't think he's Igeyorhm, though. Either we met the Igeyorhm who screwed up the 13th; or the ascians had raised another Igeyorhm shard up to her office, which you'd think they'd only do if the current one was dead. Though, I suppose its possible she was just given up for lost and/or assumed dead. It'd be easier to predict if we knew who the current ascians are. :/ Gaius owes us a list. lol

I managed to get it to this position so I think it's just the cycle. The Zodiark Hole rave lights are gone though, that's true.

I'm actually hoping that, in the inevitable battle Vs Golbez, we get a scenario where we weaken him but Vrtra/Varshahn is the one who actually takes him down. I mean, even at this point in time he has more personal motivation to want to take Golbez down than anyone else on our team (save perhaps Zero) and it's possible that events in 6.4 may give Vrtra/Varshahn even more motivation to do so.

Maybe they're trying to hide something? Not they normally do that.

Regarding the MSQ on the new site:

So, guessing we're gonna be trying to use the Cradle of Darkness to establish the new portal to the 13th, then? It makes a certain amount of sense. Zodiark was split across all shards. That spot is likely the epicenter of the Sundering in the first place, thinking about it. Its probably the weakest point in the barrier btwn all worlds. Plus, Yoshida was particularly cagey about that question about Zodiark's bits being left on other shards' moons.

So... Themis still in Pandemonium confirmed? Too bad we won't be able to yoink him in to the future and keep him here. Paradoxes and all. I wonder just how emotional of a goodbye we'll get? I imagine we'll be getting the oath he swore "to someone". And I'm gonna continue to wish the game would let me hug NPCs.

I wonder whether he'll give us more info on Azem before he goes? Still a ton of questions there about his/her seeming foresight.

Ok wild theory time. What if we get Unei and Doga in 6.4? Course they would need to have souls in order for this to work. Yet they both died over in the 13th. They even say something like even if our bodies die our souls will live on before we leave them to deal with Cloud of Darkness. Now I don't think that we will or how it would happen. I still don't get why there's ninjas in the WoD raid besides that they were common enemies in III's version. Lore wise there's no explanation.
