Thread: Will FFXIV 2.0 graphics engine still have high quality graphics options?

Like the title asks... but in more detail I am wondering if the FFXIV 2.0 graphics engine will allow for the high level of graphics detail that we have right now.

I ask because I paid around $2800 for my current PC to be able to max this game out, since I was such a FFXI fanboy when I was younger. Some people don't understand why people buy expensive PC's, but let's not focus on that.

It isn't a HUGE deal to me, I would just like to know.

No, it's already been confirmed by Bobby Gunz that the game will only feature "Low Settings."

No graphical settings have been officially confirmed though, but Yoshi-P did say the pictures were running off 15% optimization, so take that however you want. However, this being a PC game. I don't see why it wouldn't.

I don't remember all the exact details but if you check the E3 interviews you'll see that the screenshots given weren't full quality just yet.

And hell the screenshots look about 10x better than the current game on shaders alone.
