100 gear sets now?

People use a ton of gear sets? I just have 1 for every job and 1 for an ultimate set from a couple years ago that's probably irrelevant nowm

One for each job already lands you on 31(19 combat+BLU+8 crafters+3 gatherers), plus extras for Ultimates, plus Bozja and Eureka sets, plus whatever else they may have, it can really add up.

I have just one for Crafter and hotswap the weapons (the rest of the gear is identical so...) and used to for Gatherers...not sure why I stopped doing that and made them each one, honestly...

...but yeah, I also have Bozja and Eureka sets for my mainly played role (Healer, but if I did other roles, I could see myself making a few more), and a lower level gear set with a different glamour for when I want to PvP in a different outfit or Job specific outfit (WHM robes, SCH robes) than I use for my level 90 gear (since I omni-Healer [and play a couple Tanks, SMN, and RDM], I try to pick a set with no Job-specific gear so it won't go stupid looking if I swap Jobs in a place I can't change my glam)

So yeah, there are reasons to have more than just number of Jobs/a few extras.

Sets I have in addition to the standard job/class sets:

Swimsuit
attending Eternal Bonding ceremonies
Spawning Tarchia/Armstrong
Riding my chopper with a lala gang

A bit easier having those as separate sets compared to having to use a glamour plate slot and then switching the glamours constantly (which wouldn't even work in the case of spawning Armstrong).

I never had an issue with it, but I won't complain I guess. It's not like it's hurting anything by giving us more.

The other issue, is that Portraits rn are tied to Gearsets.., unless they rework the whole systems. then this is more leeway for that system. than a negative to ours.

There is no harm in the end. Til the gears grind, but it certainly won't be cause we have 100, and people either use that to complain about the lack of glamour slots<like stated by iscah, who unlike another, did read the translation in whole>

Hopefully they rework the Portrait system, as that is in need of change.

and after the server upgrades. we can see a better system for all.

Max is currently 45 tho. 14 more than number of jobs. I don't think I've ever run out. It's nice to have more it's just.... I didn't think this was high on the list of things that were needed lol.

It's called padding a list. Call me when they increase glamour plates. We don't even have enough for one of each class if you throw in DoH/L in there. lol

I can't say I ever used enough to know there was a limit but I don't think it's a bad change. Glad for any who were limited that they have more options now. Not every QoL needs to be something that personally affects us all to be good.

Current max is 47 though. The 2 extra are from pre-order exclusive promos from a long time ago for HW and SB that are separate from collector's edition. Really appreciate the expansion on gearsets.
