What a tragedy. Pick them up as you do the story then. They aren't going to give you mount access prior to completion if they ever were to do so, and everything you come across naturally anyway.

They aren't going to give this, simply because if anything the jumping puzzles from seasonal events in the past have already demonstrated that players enjoy inconveniencing one another. That convenience factor of saving a few seconds is simply not worth this potential nuisance.

You would have a better idea if you were to suggest an extended sprint duration in city states.
