why cant we use mounts in cities lol it takes so long to run around lisma losmina because you can only walk and sprint every min. plus if you get a cool mount you cant show off anywhere because everyone just afk in lisma losmina anyway... would be so epic to see everyone mounts in cities. some people will complain about lag but i already lag in lisma anyways so

This is a bad idea.

People already tried this crap by blocking jumping puzzles with Behemoth mounts in the past etc., and most especially aren't going to add additional features to combat this use in city-states e.g., turning off players.

Just use an Aethernet, it's really not difficult and the Aethernets are in there specifically to make it quicker to navigate the areas.

The cities aren't really intended to be for Mounts in this stage.

While I get that it would be nice in certain areas, specifically how it was shown in the past for Ul'dah.

With how large the mounts get, it will be a no/nay on my end.

Maybe in some other FFMMO down the decade.

Though a player toggle would be a different, debated topic.
Mounts in-city wouldn't support that, as players would face alot of issues.

Specially with the age old strawman of players saying they're entitled to mount and block the path, for those who have players on.
