Agreed, though I would also appreciate the Chocobo Theme in every genre of music they'd be willing to add. Don't know if they'd be able to hit me out of left field with anything like the Crazy Chocobo theme from FFXIII-2, still my fave version of the theme thus far, but more chocobo is good chocobo~
Please show support for chocobo boots to be added -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/323512-Suggestion-for-an-item-to-be-added-to-gold-saucer-Chocobo-Boots
Unhappy with how they implemented Mahjong? -> http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/threads/381358-Mahjong-is-the-most-depressing-mini-game-you-ve-added-to-XIV
First link is a poor example, not being an official version.
Otherwise, answer is, every game does their own style of chocobo theme. X and maybe XIII kinda seem to already cover that jazzy style.
I disagree. It is an excellent version, and is well qualified at being an example. I wanted to have variations of wonderful Chocobo jazz to show potential devs that may get this thread relayed to them.
Because we already have a pretty good chocobo theme...for the porters anyway.

I admit that I miss old Tonberries, I hope that Hamlyn is right and that once the Nymeans are cured, we will come across true Tonberries, who are the little bundles of dread and terror we are used to, you could even say they are a type of fae to justify their extreme elusiveness.
Well the current Tonberries ARE kind of like the old ones in a sense. Remember, the Tonberry King used Everyone's Grudge, which DID power up with the amount of his servants you killed during the boss fight.
I mean yeah, he's got Everyone's Grudge, but the tonberries themselves are just... not malevolent. They're not there to slaughter you for daring to exist in their presence. Most of the violence they commit is driven by fear and vengeance. They even become helpful in the dungeon's hard variant. They're just cursed lalafell, many of which are bitter and angry about their lot but not totally beyond reason. Ye olde tonberries just sorta chilled in bad places and made themselves the problem of every living thing in their vicinity for no reason other than just being outright nasty.
I also kinda miss their ungodly health pools and them being able to delete you with a poke. It's something I felt like every tonberry enemy in the game should've had, whether they be boss or trash. Nothing can quite replace the feeling of "wtf" you get when you dump everything you've got into a tonberry only for it to cancel your subscription to oxygen anyway.

Its not too late for there to be "true tonberries" that have nothing to do with lalafells. Perhaps they merely inspired the curse.I mean yeah, he's got Everyone's Grudge, but the tonberries themselves are just... not malevolent.
