I don't think people really get what the OP is getting at.

The OP likely enjoys performances, but sometimes things get overdone. OP wants to be able to be pleasantly surprised by different, occasional performers, yet remain unbothered by the current bands that seem to all have taken root at that location.

Are we really going to excuse the people that take things too far and tell others to work around or deal with it?
