    Square's new payment processor being finicky?

    Title says it all. I've recently had my normal renewals trip over something in Square's payment processor, which I understand underwent change recently. Anyone else seeing normal renewals, that have worked for years, refused? By refused I mean, "unknown error, please check registration.." etc. The credit card in question still works nicely for game cards and crysta... but not renewal..

    Speaking of crysta, anyone using that to buy retainers?

    Mine renewed without issues at the start of the month but I think that was before the processor change went into effect.

    The change should not impact customers who are currently enrolled in a recurring subscription plan. However, future updates to an existing recurring subscription, such as starting a new recurring subscription or making updates to the payment method on existing recurring subscriptions, will be processed through the new payment processor. Switching an existing recurring subscription plan to the new payment processor will require the re-registration of their payment method. Although the current payment processor will continue to be available for a period following the change, we recommend updating an active recurring subscription after the change occurs as this will help prevent any account access disruptions in the event that the current payment processor is no longer available.
    My guess is that you had bad luck with the timing. With luck, you just need to log into mogstation, bring up payment info for the subscription and reconfirm it.

    I think I recall someone saying they couldn't use Crysta for extra retainers but not having tried it myself I can't confirm that.

    Edit: Looking at my Service Account Dashboard on Mogstation, it does imply that Crysta can be used for Retainer services.

    I lost $7 yesterday trying to buy a barding onthier inept store. Amazon charged me but not SE and I never got my item. To make matters worse, their support team still cannot figure out what I'm asking for. Unreal.I advise all of you to be careful buying any of their crap off their store for the time being.

    You can. I use Crysta for my sub, retainers, companion app and for pretty much everything.

    I would stay the hell away from the SE Store unil they resolve thier screwed up payment processing.Plus the shit thet sell is crap anyway.

    I wondering if type of payment method may be affecting some players. SE did have a long list of payment types that would no longer be accepted after the switch to the new processor.

    At first this sentence made no sense, as Amazon has no relationship with Square Enix. That being said, I assume your Amazon-branded credit card statement shows an actual charge, as opposed to a 'temporary' placeholder for the charge.

    You should check your email to determine whether the purchase went through. In all cases of purchases with Square Enix, I have received a receipt via email as acknowledgement.

    Some purchases take a longer time to get to you (max time I've experienced early on in the current expansion was four days). If, after a few more days, you still see the charge on your credit card, with no email confirmation from Square Enix, you can contact them. Or click on the 'go fetch stuff I ordered from the mog station store' button when interacting with a mail Moogle in-game.

    They are talking about using the payment option on the FFXIV store that is Amazon Pay which uses your Amazon account and not an Amazon branded CC. It logs you into your Amazon account, and uses your payment that you have set up on your Amazon account.
