Hey all, just a quick thread really.

Was watching some old videos I recorded way-back when I was first levelling Gladiator and couldn't help but smile at the whole raising-a-shield-to-block thing. I'm probably the only person playing now that actually would enjoy seeing it return, but I also miss the stance itself. That was epic, and that stance is what this enquiry relates too...

Is there any way we could see it back? I know it is still in game - it flashes up momentarily upon blocking, but i'd personally like to see more done with it?

Couple of potential suggestions:
  • A shield bearing character, in active mode, moves into this block stance after a few moments without moving. Either at-all, or allow strafing while locked on? Cancel upon changing position.
  • A shield bearing character, in active mode, locks on to an engaged target? Cancel upon dropping lock.
  • As an additional emote. Some form of pose or perhaps a partner-in-crime to a taunt emote?

The latter being with or without some form of optional text:

Andy Solace raises his shield in defense!

Andy Solace sees Signore Chard and defends!

Andy Solace warns off incoming trolls!

...Or something...
