in thinking about it, even if its 100, and very very very few have ever run into it... I think it is indeed practical already and does not need adjustment. if it only took "a few hours to reach" what were you running? to hit 100, even unsynched, in a few hours...would mean you are taking just over 2 minute per run.... relax.. the game isnt going anywhere...
