    Loporrit Wedding...?

So I was just at a Ceremony of Eternal Bonding, and I was told that Moogles are just one of the choices for officiating the marriage. However...

I want the Loporrits to do it.

I dunno if anyone official will read this, but if I engage(heh) in the Ceremony myself, I would love nothing more than if the Ceremony was updated with Loporrit staff, with "Marryingway" speaking at the altar!

    Just saying!

First why is this in the Lore section? Even though I would love more choices for Eternal Bonding ceremonies I don't hold out much hope for anything new. It took them years just to throw us a bone for anniversaries to have something. Personally I would love more venues to be added. I do understand that it would be tricky as right now you have to be right outside the Sanctuary of the Twelve in order to attend one. So, llet's say they start allowing people to get married at the church in Ishgard people would probably need to be able to have access to it. Unless they make a separate instance of it and have it somehow work like free company housing where you can travel to your FC's house ward even if you aren't in Stormblood or reached Heavensward yet in the game. I would also love it if they were to allow people from other servers to attend weddings.

Sorry, I didn't know where else to put it. The "Suggestions" forum only seems to be for the website, not the actual game.

But yes. More venues would definitely be a welcome addition.

It's fine. When in doubt always choose the general discussion.

This sort of thread is too wholesome for General Discussion.

It's interesting how quickly loporrits have usurped the moogles' traditional charisma in the series. FFVI and FFIX had some fantastic moogles. It does seem strange from a lore perspective that people travel so far to forge bonds in a single location, though. If you were Meracydian, for example, where would you go to perform the equivalent ceremony after the land bridge disappeared?

Perhaps they can expand on this further once they've explained the mystery behind the Twelve.

I think it's because the Loporrits are so earnestly and enthusiastically curious, selfless and helpful, compared to the Moogles, who in FFXIV are basically mooching, self-centered layabouts who don't really do much other than... be cute. Loporrits want to learn and try new things and help out. Moogles would rather laze about and get adventurers to do all their work for them.

It's like Urianger said, one would need a heart of black diamond to resist the loporrits' charms.

To be fair, when you consider that the loporrits' design is based on the moogles of the Ivalice Alliance, it's really just moogles all the way down.

This doesn't fit in the lore subforum, but since it's here I can provide Lore Explanations for how to make this work without it even spoiling anybody! (Well, nobody planning the wedding, anyway; the attendants are kinda screwed.)

Make it unlockable based on a quest that unlocks after completing Endwalker, and the MIN/BTN Studium questline! If you'll remember, that one ends in an anthropologist couple holding their own wedding, so it makes a lot of sense for a Loporrit wedding to be unlocked through a quest where Ceremonyway goes to learn from them.

I doubt that will ever happen because you're not supposed to know who the lopporits are before endwalker. Eternal bonding has to be available for all, and giving the choice to have loporitts officiating would be a big spoiler for players that are not there yet. From a Lore perspective, that would be illogical. And seing how they try to justify everything in the lore (even the mogstation is refered in the Omega quest). And having to check the character story progression to make the item available in the mogstation seems problematic, since the choice of character arrive at the end of the process. That would ask to rethink the mogstation.
