    Freezes, extreme latency and crashes

Hello, i have seen similar threads in here and on reddit but it seems like my issue is even more extreme.

I have been experiencing random freezes, extreme animation/sounds/UI latency and sudden crashes in the past few weeks, but they only got worse to the point where my game is unplayable since today.

While they used to happen mostly randomly, there are situations where i can almost always expect freezes, like when i load heavily populated areas like limsa. Retainer bells and any other UI stuff like the teleport list, profile etc.... will take over 10 seconds to load and appear. I got into a gwibber farm group today and my animations would stop while my actions were still being registered, some of my ability icons would go transparent, everyone else's animations would stop including the boss'.

Then i crashed when a lot of VFX played at the same time (nael's dives in Cinder Drift). The previous, more rare crashes from the last few weeks would sometimes come from bosses casting VFX.

I need you to please take into consideration that those are the situations where it happens the most, but not always. I have been alone in places many times today where those freezes and latency issues would still happen. The ability/animations latency would also happen while i would kill bosses alone unsynced for my wondrous trails.

Those are things that would happen on my old low end PC in heavily populated areas/events like hunt trains, however i have a brand new PC i bought like 2 months ago and i never had any issues like this. They started appearing randomly and suddently got horrible today. I play on WIFI but my internet was fine as well, and i could run other applications on the background with no issues, including youtube with no lags.

This only happens in FFXIV, i have been playing RE2 remake today with no issues while using raytracing, my PC is strong enough to handle FFXIV and has been before those issues started.

    I play FFXIV through steam
my CPU is AMD Ryzen 5 5600H / 3.3 GHz
my GPU is NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 / AMD Radeon Graphics

I have checked and none of my drivers were out of date, i also reinstalled the game but it did not change anything at all, i sadly do not remember the error's ID while crashing, and sometimes i needed to close the game with the task manager or even manually turn off my pc, it is that bad.

Please if anyone has had similar issues, let me know, it feels like there is no fix and i will have to wait and hope that the next update somehow fixes it but i don't think i am that hopeful.

    Greetings Adventurer!

We would be happy to assist with your concern. For further assistance, please provide a 'DXDIAG'. This can be done by clicking 'Start' on the Windows icon and click 'Run'. At the run line, please type 'DXDIAG', and hit "OK". Then click "Save all information" (in the DXDIAG window) and save it to a .txt file. Copy all that information and reply to this thread with it. Please also include all details involved with the problem for investigation on our end. Additionally, we would like for you to check your connection to be sure you are not experiencing packet loss that could create connection issues as well.

Thank you for visiting the FINAL FANTASY XIV Technical Support Forums!

    Hello fellow adventurer,

Not a problem! If it helps, you can provide a System Report as well-- the report should be shorter than a DXDIAG but still provide enough information. The System Report can be retrieved directly from the FINAL FANTASY XIV launcher. To reach this, you can click on the 'gear' icon or Config option in the launcher. Once there, you can click on the 'Display' button next to where it states 'System Information'.

We hope this helps! Thank you for visiting the FINAL FANTASY XIV Technical Support Forums!
