    The healer is doing themselves a favor by saving 2400 MP from raising. A raise is 1/4 of their MP bar. Asking the healer that can use rescue to save that MP from raising is asking the healer to stop playing well, especially since that MP could ultimately end up being used to heal other players or raise them from an unavoidable mechanic they failed to accomplish. You might as well be considered a troll for asking them to grief and play worse and simultaneously put more pressure on a less experienced healer who cannot manage their MP as well / is struggling when the party is taking damage left and right from avoidable mechanics.

    Simply put, your mistakes and your request only increases the healer's burden while lowering your own. That's a pretty selfish way of looking at it when the healer is just there to make sure the party can get through the content with as little deaths as possible.

    If the healer is intentionally trolling, you can simply report and move on.

    I'm tired of being told to wait for post-patches and expansions for fixes and increased healing requirements that are never coming. Healers are not fun in all forms of content like all jobs should be, they're replaced by tanks and dps due to low healing requirements and their dps kit is small for 0 reason, when in the past we had more options and handled things just fine. I refuse to play healer in roulette come DT. I refuse to heal EXs, I refuse to go into Savage, and I am boycotting Ultimate.

    Or rather add a second charge. I think the long cooldown is fine because you rarely need to rescue someone, but when you need to, it can be several times in a row, or several peoples at once.

    I think this would be comparable to a tank who doesn't let your reach the boss's back seat. Inconvenient, but nothing worth reporting. A necessary evil in a multiplayer game were everyone might not be fully aware everyone else's specific needs.

    At least you can rejoice in the fact that healer can only bother you up to once every 2mn at most.

    Got a great idea, what if (as well as making it more responsive) it also gives 5s of Sprint to the person rescued? That way if it was used to 'troll' by dragging a melee away from the boss, they have Sprint speed to get back faster to lose less uptime

    Rescue is kind of a bad ability in the game right now. I'm not even against it because of it being grief capable, more the implementation has the same half-second lag that Benediction does. Multiple times I've used it to save someone, only for their dead body to slide to my feet after they get hit by the mechanic anyway. It's just not a good ability, and we could honestly have something different in its place.

    EDIT: The one consistent use I've found for it is Hunt Trains. Namely Yulan in Thav, Holder in Laby, and potentially both Mousse and Sabotender Marks on the moon. Yulan and Mousse both have seduce then 1HKO attacks, and Holder and Sab debuff and then large attack (Sabs is 1HKO, Holder's can be survivable with enough gear). You just have to time it late enough (but not TOO late) for the seduces otherwise the player's character will run back into the effect.

    But that's honestly the only consistent use I've found for Rescue. Otherwise it gets people killed as often as it helps people. And I just hate yank abilities in general. I DESPISE the yank abilities in PvP, especially Frontlines since there's no defense (it seems to go through Guard) and you can get pulled 10-20y into the middle of the enemy deathball and instantly deleted, which is just stupid and not in any way engaging or enjoyable gameplay (crowd control effects in PvP are, in general, stupidly OP to the point of making the game mode entirely unfun, but the push/pull/yank are all the worst offenders.)

    @ romah I am kind of wondering what you are doing to get healers to use Rescue on you so often. I have also been in some Expert runs recently as a SAM and not once did a healer do that to me. I can't remember the exact time it did happen since it was probably during the first 24 man Tactics raid when I was hit with the rotating hand confuse. A few years ago give or take?

    Other than that 24 man 70 raid I named, I almost forget I have Rescue on my bars when I heal. The 2 second delay it takes until it actually drags the player makes it useless for me for actually saving someone in most cases. By the time I am seeing someone having troubles, it's too late already and they will still get hit while being dragged.
