Am i unintentionally poaching?

This whole idea of poaching is just silly. Every player makes their own decision about where they want to be. Even if someone was actively recruiting them, it's their decision. If this FC leader was acting like they owned the people in their FC and wanted them to explain their own choices, I can see why they left.

No one is married to an FC. Anyone and everyone is free to leave/join any FC that would welcome them. It falls on the FC leader and any officers of said FC to make the place appealing and inviting to others. If they fail that...people will leave. That's on THEM and not the person leaving.

Not only are you 100% fine and blameless on this...you should ignore everything they say. They are in the wrong and not you.

Even if you had offered them gil it wouldn't matter. People are free to play where they like. If the exFC leader is felt they are owed something that is between them and the player. Poach implies people aren't allowed to move around. For shame on exFC leader.

I am a fairly new FC leader. Almost 4 months and where the FC is now vs before is nothing short of a miracle. I run a lot of events and ask people on my friends list or do shouts to see if extra's want to participate. Recently my previous fc leader blocked me under the claims that I poached. One of his members left their fc to join mine. I did not actively try to recruit this person nor was I the one to invite them to fc. The old fc leader wants the person that joined and the one that invited to talk explain it to them in order to clear my name. I think that's a bit much and I told them it's not worth it and will slowly move on. that I have an open door policy when it comes to events as long as your respectful to other people you're welcome to come. Is this the wrong mentality to have?

I asked the person why did they switch, and the person explained that they have more fun over here, that it's active, and they've stuff with us and that the other place was dead.

Counter-block him and continue being a good fc leader. If tons of people are leaving he should be more concerned if there is a reason why people are leaving and not where to. Though it sounds like he is the problem so not much of a question of why.

Thank you guys for your thoughts, I appreciate and didn't actually think I'd get replies xD . I typically take things to heart so I wanted to make sure I didn't wrong someone. I'll keep doing things as I always have and make improvements along the way.
