On the new 5-piece Tonberry outfit and NPC clothing in general...

So this year's Hatching-tide looks pretty great, right? A new glam, that's hilarious and awesome. A new roll for everyone's favorite holiday track. A great new emote! No complaints here, probably one of the better, if not one of the straight up best Hatching-tide rewards we've gotten.

The issue is less with Hatching-tide itself and more the comparison between the Tonberry outfit and other NPC clothing. I know many of us have complained long and loud about the Mogstation outfit offerings, and seeing this it kind of sparks another ember of irritation all over again. A jokey cosplay glamour is in five parts and completely dyeable, but if we want bits and pieces of say, Gaia's outfit, or maybe like being pastel goth vs straight up goth... Nope! That's right out! Even though we're paying real money for it!

I know someone's going to come in here and be like, "Well, those outfits weren't designed to be made in separate par--". Hush. I don't care. We're paying for it you can make them designed to be separate parts. It can definitely be done without issue, especially if you're, again I reiterate, charging a not-inconsiderable amount of real money to do so.

So, SE. Cut it out with the Mogstation already, and fix the offerings that are there. It's absolutely ridiculous to charge this much for such lazy port jobs while free jokey cosplay glams get the royal treatment.

Yeah bought 1 one piece and said never again though I think they just ripped it out of the game NPCs and not actually modeled them for PCs

On the slightly bright side, a majority of the cash shop outfits being absolutely terrible removes any temptation to spend money there.

I might've actually bought Gaia's outfit if it were in multiple parts. And dyeable.

I go further, and only consider if most of the outfits, mounts, and rolls were accountwide.., even if the price rises a bit more..,<But not excessively, there is a balance, and tbh, better to make currency of singles who regret and buy more/the AW. than the costly one-time AW optio >

but that's me..,<if it was so, I'd own a large number of their catalog, hell I'd be using Red Baron and White Devil along with our precious Black Reaper and Gilded Magitek.

We know they don't exactly plan things to go a certain way.., or what the Shop Runners plan to RIP from the game and repurpose into sales items.
[It's probably why the majority<since the Lil ladies crown isn't dyeable> of event items have extra care and detail to them. since they know it'll get dropped in there.]

I guess apply HQ to almost everything. since we won't know what the shop runner's will hunt with/out permit for their store.

As always, if you don't like it nobody is forcing you to spend any more money beyond your sub.

But if you really want to protest against it, quit the game. Cancel your sub. Don't pay SE. Ofc you won't do that cause writing an angry text that will change nothing at all is easier than taking literal actions of protest. Can't live without this whale mount and all the other optional stuff and glam, right? But hey, at least you made a angry forum post! That will teach them!

Feedback is nice and awesome but people left feedback countless times before and yes also on that topic and what changed so far? Nothing.

If you want to change something then well change something. It is well in your power to cut the company off from what they care most about, your money. But as i said, ofc people don't want to do that cause it is uncomfortable. So in the end this is just OP screaming into the endless void, the topic will die down like all the others before and when the next flashy mount of glam comes out they will probably buy it again no matter what.

But in the end it is their right to voice their displeasure, cause you know free speech and all that. As well as it is my right to call out fellas who only scream and don't act.

I don't know about you but i personally tho find it hilarious how people rage about shop items and prices and whatnot and then pay 40bucks for a whale.

You don't have to buy one piece NPC items if you don't like them. The game has plenty of free high quality glamour sets.

The "cannot equip with arm gear" restriction has its upsides, which I utilized in my own MNK glamour.
