Is Zero the most unlikeable main character in this game

I didn't really connect with Zero during her arc in Endwalker. That doesn't mean I hated her though, I just wasn't very fond of her and liked other characters more. To me, she's not a bad character, she definitely has her shortcomings though (the writing is the main offender here). She was more or less...just boring. At the worst.

In comparison to DT however, she was much more fleshed out during her time then most of the characters we got in the DT MSQ. Which is shocking, thinking back to it now. I thought the writing was bad during the post EW patches, but I never expected it to get to this level of bad...

But as they say, you never know until it's too late.

1. Zero has unapologetically delicious goth ultra tomboy vibes with a side of cool level headedness. Favorite female npc.
2. Say what you will about Alisae. She’s 100% validated by those kissable Elezen thigh highs and shorts. Don’t care.
3. Y’shtola has had her moments, but if she were tied up, neck chained to some rather busy train tracks, I’d still ask if she could hold my beer.
4. Zenos. Gave y’all the finger cuz you didn’t pay his subscription and lived his life the way he wanted, with a passion for duels. I selected the ‘Friends’ option for him. Woulda made one hellava ally….

Zero's path in the story reminds me of Allison from the Breakfast Club. You had a very cool and unique character who at the end of the story gets transformed into a boring copycat of everyone else. A character in the Dawntrail story also has a scene where he's basically told being stoic is bad, be someone else. I guess it's the inevitable fate of every FFXIV character to be spouting "I wuv my fwends teehee" by the end of their arc. Looking forward to Fordola's sudden personality 180.

I get her not being everyone's cup of tea. But I love her because she makes me think of a FromSoft NPC.
