Is Zero the most unlikeable main character in this game

Even tho the thread is obvious bait...yeah Zero is the most obnoxious and weirdly written character we came across since Gaia was introduced into the game. Feels like that storyline all over again, teaching Zero basic morals and how to eat and whatnot.

I honestly didn't expected that our newfound adventures would just be opening a kindergarten for challenged half voidsents so we can chew again through the good old tropes of friendship, why helping people is nice and how to eat properly. I didn't thought Emet had in mind that we would go on fetchquests with a weirdly acting emo voidsent.

EW just goes even more downhill in the most awful way possible, after being already a rushed expansion. Bad characters. And of course they can't let go of the precious scions and old plothooks. (Which makes me scared of all the other zodiark shards out there...i fear we won't get rid of the ascian zodiark plotline for another 3 expansions.) I hoped for new adventures, new characters to meet. Some that don't trust us immediately but aren't written like they are a toddler who needs parenting, which is basically what Zero is at this point. But no all we got is something that is even more emotionally damaged than Zenos, exposition Y'shtola and all the rest they still can't let go even after the scions got "officially" "disbanded".

Looking forward to the next expansion where we do only potty training with Zero.

jokes aside, not much to say in a thread that is all over the scale of good or bad writing.
and sadly no proper way to objectively tell him bad/acceptable/good it is, specially this early.
as well as knowing many would say good<not counting the mythical tempered, if there are any>

Yeah but if you think about it. Our character is the biggest Mary Sue in the entire game. Is easily well liked by almost everyone, can master every job, their FFsoul belongs to a mysterious but powerful character, is besties with 2 main villains, can summon allies whenever they please and theyre lives are considered to have the most painful backstory because of all they go through even though your average Ala Mhigan has endured worse.

Lets face it, our character is the worst written one out of the entire cast. I love my guy but hate how theyre treated as being extremely speshul.
