Yup, it would have been so much easier if that could happen. But people in XIV don't like to spend an extra 5 seconds to go to the other market house lol.

What they did so far (in essense) was great. But the community is what kills it... much like the search system.

You just told us that you spent a week trying to get your retainer in Ul'dah. You can't really talk poorly of the community when you do the exact thing they do.

What needs to happen, is have the markets work the way the auction house worked in XI. You pay the tax up front, which would prevent people from placing stuff up for max gil, and it's up for a maximum of 7 days. There is no reason why this stuff stays up indefinitely.
