Hi! Welcome to the forums! We have this conversation about twice a year. It would not be a simple scaling multiplier. When you consider Potency, the fixed part of the damage calculation that does not change as you level, every job's potency per second increases greatly over the course of the leveling process. Action potency goes up whenever an action gets upgraded. Additional actions become available to weave into the rotation off the GCD. Additional more powerful actions replace older still-available GCD actions. You cannot just scale a Lv90 job down to Lv30. If you scaled them down so that their actions did the same damage as the actions of the Lv30 person, they would still do far more damage than the Lv30 person because they have more actions. If you scaled them down so that their overall DPS was the same as the Lv30 person, they would have to do far more work than the Lv30 person. Even if that were acceptable to some, the scaling modifier would not be linear. It would have to be a function of both the actual level and the sync level, which would require a 90x90 lookup table for each job. It's far simpler and most equitable just to keep the system as it is.
