Nope, that removes the point of doing it when its current content, also its very easy to get both trophies and also wolf marks, so it just renders the original grind useless.

Leave PVP alone if you dont like it, and let those that like it enjoy it. If you want the glam, you grind it when current, the seasons are very long, if you dont want it, or you dont want to do the grind, then you will miss out, too bad.

That aside, it's not even the issue. I'm actually at series 19 right now. I could easily do one rank every 2-3 days and probably easily make it to 25 well before 6.4 drops. That's not the problem. I feel burnt out. I had already wanted to take more of a break from FFXIV, but the PVP has forced me to "play a bit here and there" despite not wanting to because I want the rewards from it.

I wouldn't care if it costed 100,000 wolf marks, or required a set number of games like it already does, but that I have to do it on the game's time, not mine, is frustrating. NOTHING else in the game requires THIS much time investment in a limited time frame, and it's all because they know PVP will die without it, so there is their solution.

I would rather see PVP go than keep having to do this, at this rate it may be the reason I leave the game more frequently or even permanently.

This would INSTANTLY make me feel better about it. If they just brought it back later as something to spend crystal trophies on I would shut up and just not play PVP except for when I felt like it.

But it hasn't happened yet and we're 3 seasons in.
    1. PvP is and was always a team effort, only if you play 1v1 you alone can blame your lose. Thats why i find it funny, because even with randoms and the few things SE gave me to communicat, we scored a win and even if its by pure luck.. well then i'm a lucky little lalafell! After i read your answer, it sounds like you only play for the glam, so you dont even play ranked game, so why is a lose that bad?

    2. You CAN play with your friends. Kinda atleast. Most of the times you end in the enemy team but even that CAN be fun, atleast if you troll your mate by targeting him as dragoon But yea, the thing that you cannot form teams sucks a little bit.

    3. If you dont want to play, then dont play. I have the mog and its not THAT great. Only you are forcing yourself to play, not FFIV

    4. Like i said, a Season lasts long. You could play every day one or two matches and should reach lvl 25 if ya start at beginn of the season.. i think. Can somebody do the math? I suck at math.

    5. For me its really.... a entiteld position to say you WANT that everybody can get the set, even after the season because you fear to lose out at something. I invest the time and sweat for the glam and you will get it for little to non effort a few month later? Thats not really fair for me, or is it?

    6. On the Note of Nr 5: If they make the pvp glam availebal at a later date for little to non effort. I petition that ultima-weapons will be mogglestation items after a year. So i dont have to get good at raiding.

One thing I wish they would go back and update their wolf mark wares to sell leveling gear beyond lv.60.

The gear afterwards are all lv.1 cosmetics, which yeah its all good, but it would be nice to have an alternate source for lv.70 and lv.80 gear at least when you're out-leveling other jobs while still in previous expansions. Otherwise you'd have to rely on MB to buy upgrades.

Speaking from experience leveling alt characters in Dynamis server where the server exp bonus has you overleveled before you even finish ARR.

I agree with that, I'm okay with this as long as I can get ultimate weapons with tomestones of causality or astronomy, I dont want to do the content, I dont like it, but I want the weapon.

    1. Then you admit that there's no real reason to take pride in anything except that you put time into a game mode you have little to no control over the result of. Thank you.

    2. No, you can't. Your attempt at saying you "technically' can by queuing up at the same time doesn't change that you straight up can't and are more likely going to be wait for one or the other to exit their game for several minutes each time attempting to do so, and as you said, you will most likely be on opposing sides, and this ONLY has a SLIGHT chance of working on low pop data-centers. Barely even worth mentioning.

    3. This is a non-argument of the same caliber of "if you don't like your job, just quit!" and is incredibly shallow in thought. The argument I'm giving assumes you want people to play your game and enjoy it. The proper response is "ok, let's see how we can make this better and enjoyable" not "You don't like what we're doing? Well then just quit and play something else!" This is what led to Blizzard collapsing. So sure, I can quit, but SE losing money should not be their end goal when they can easily make this less bitter for everyone who shares my contentions with the current FOMO pass.

    4. and like I said, as someone who has been playing intermittently along the length of the season as you suggested, I'm still burnt out because it's looming in the back of my mind, it's exhausting and it carries through from patch to patch. It genuinely causes me stress to know another patch is coming out because not only is a deadline, it elicits the "great, I have to do PVP again" reaction for when it drops.

    5. If you are willing to put in the work, but just want to do it at your own pace, how is that entitled? Are people who take months to complete an ARR or HW relic entitled? Are players who go at their own pace at LITERALLY ANYTHING ELSE IN THIS GAME entitled when they still put in the work?

Do you think playing enough PVP to say, rack up 100,000 Wolf Marks is REALLY "non-effort" as you claim it is? How do you figure that? From the sound of it, EFFORT doesn't actually matter to you, only the time in which it is done. If that's the case, kindly screw off with YOUR entitled position.

You still put time into it, and you work for it, through the countless hours to get it done, and you get rewarded with the glam, sounds good to me.

Also you can easily queue up with friends, there are times you'll be put agaisnt them, sure, but most of the time you'll end up on the same time, I do this with casual games when I feel like playing with a friend or two and it works 99% of the time.

Or just dont do the PVP ? Since you dont like it, easy fix.

This is literally a you problem.

You have an entire season to get the glam, you can do it at your own pace.

You do the content when its current, you get the glam, if you dont, you dont get the glam, very simple.

Me personally, the low-end effort of farming pvp wolf marks for a prestige glam (Im saying this loosely considering the designs for Ultimate weapons being...not that good imo lol) compared to the effort of getting a good group together, learn and coordinate to do the hardest battle content in this game is NOT the same level of work and effort here. Im not gonna ultimately care anyway for them; if they like...make a different recolor or look based off of those ultimate weapons then thats totally fine for me, but putting the actual same reward into a content system thats brain dead easy to obtain is kinda slapping the face of all those players whom worked very hard to get those weapons. Again just to reiterate, Im pretty sure not many hardcore raiders care for the actual weapons but it is a tangible achievement reward to let other players know that they've completed that hard content.

So thats how I see it honestly, I prefer having rewards that incentivize me to do that content for it rather than the game having to adapt to my wants.

You too, I'll enjoy doing PVP and getting rewarded for it, while you'll keep asking to get rewards for doing absolutely nothing because you dont like it. I dont like ultimates, I dont ask for ultimate weapons. I dont need the game and its direction to be shaped around me, unlike you.
