    Eureka orthos

    Hello everyone
So me and my wife are trying to get a clear on eureka orthos ans we want to know what 2 jobs we should be. Is a good combo tank and 1 dps or 2 dps… we simply dont know and we are getting mixed numbers from online websites.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you so much and i look forward to hearing from everyone.

Trying to duo the whole thing? I'd got with tank and dps, and I'd make the DPS either SMN or RDM in case the tank dies.

Though, ultimately, you're just going to have to max your aetherpool and learn the tells for each enemy's one shot moves. Everything in there preloads an AOE that will kill even tanks, but you'll still likely want a tank just for later floors/bosses.

True and good points. Any suggestions on which tank to bring. Warrior has the most solo clears and i want to make sure its the right one to bring. Also machineist has the most solo dps clears, would that also be viable?

I'm no expert on Deep Dungeons, but I did clear HoH for the mount, so I have some experience.

I'd say WAR. I've been duoing WAR/SMN with my wife. Nascent Flash is really handy to top off both of our HP from random damage that is taken. There was a lot of value when we stepped on a landmine during a pull with luring trap (good strategy...). Instead of panicking - Nascent Flash gives her a damage shield, couple that with AOE damage on all of these mobs and then popping Shake if Off for another shield/regen - all on a floor with no auto-heal.

That's not to say WAR/SMN would be easy mode. From a tank perspective, I think WAR gives excellent survivability to the duo.

As you'll find out, on floors X1 to X9, what kills you isn't auto-attack damage. It is being hit be telegraphed (or untelegraphed) mechanics. There is some tank privilege, but it only extends so far. Bring a Phoenix Down. It will buy you that one free raise if the SMN is taken out.

Warrior / SMN or Warrior / RDM is probably going to be the best combo.

Veteran healers don't care if we need to heal, but right now we don't. We want interesting things to do during the downtime other than a 30s dot and a single filler spell that hasn't changed from lvl 4 to lvl 90.
Dead DPS do no DPS. Raised DPS do 25/50% lower DPS. Do the mechanics and don't stand in bad stuff.
Other games expect basic competence, FFXIV is pleasantly surprised by it. Other games have toxic elitism. FFXIV has toxic casualism.[/LIST]
