My first experience with the RP tag was back in old Prae, when you still had the mobs at the teleporter to dodge. One time I pulled aggro and kept get attacked as I was trying to interact with the teleporter, and I died before I could escape. Fellow DPS with the RP tag came over, knelt down beside me and cried. lol it was cute! Other than that, I don’t think I’ve really encountered much DF RP.

I joined a rping Fc only to find out it was actually a erp fc and the fc leader and her (girlfriend) took me to a roulette and stopped every few minutes to hug each other until finally I messaged them get a room.

Mao's way of RPing does not interfere with roulettes. Mao likes burninating things FAST. Mao's motto is "If little bits fire good thing, then LOTS fire even betters".

Burninating it is bad. The Mao they must burninate the Mao food not the Mao friend. We make the mistake ourself when study but now we learn the power of the muscle magic. Is need to use the black mage job but cast the fist and hit with the stick. The fight it take longer but will win. Can only do if training the strength with the push up and sit up and do the 10 km run all the single day. Must equip the strength gear from the Realm Rebirth and Heavenswart.

I have to admit, this has never happened to me. Not even one time I can recall. If it did, I just didn't notice. Though I'd think I would notice chat and emotes being used for RP purposes. It's not something I would put up with. Even though I am highly tolerant of slower dungeon runs, that is based on all party member actively participating on getting it done. If one or more players divert from this course for any reason, I will definitely warn them that I will abandon the duty of they keep it up.

I did give a warning one time to a couple of players who were married who decided to engage in an argument during a dungeon run. They told me it was fine, and that they were married. I told them it is not fine to subject myself and the other player to their bickering while trying to clear a dungeon. That's about as close as I get to this.

How is this even a thing? I can understand RPing as a concept, and I really don't have a problem with people that choose to engage in it for the most part. What I can't figure out is why a minority of them genuinely seem to believe it's fine to progress at the speed of smell.
