    Some aspects I would like to see added down the line

    So with 7.0 approaching within around a year ish from now. We know the game will get a visual upgrade the extent of which we don’t know but anything is better than nothing. Content and features for 7.X patches are likely already confirmed in their roadmap internally so this is more brainstorming ideas for the future.

    1) With them talking about their animation allocation to memory being looked at for expansion. Hopefully this means longer emotes like they discussed, this would mean cutscenes could have more variety making them less samey. Also may allow some weight to character movement if they rework character animations if this is something they want to look at. Just giving my character some more grounded feeling to the world would be better than what is now.

    2) Object density etc is as shown as well which will help bring barren locations some more life. I hope this extends further in allowing airships or boats to be seen to give more scope to the world, airships can be way higher then the player flying height to hide low poly assets etc but it would bring more life to the world.

    3) Speaking of bringing more life to the world, expand the FATE system bring in more multiple stage FATES or even incorporate Bozjas critical engagements into the Normal overworld. It loosely happens say in thavnair and ultima thule and subsequent expansion areas but their spawn rates are few and far between. Bring shared FATES to all expansions. Maybe even put a vendor for each GC that asks you to clear X amount of FATES or Critical Engagements to rank up and get rewards. This can always be added to each expansion. This could also bring in an expanded hunting log or a hunting log that weekly resets that rewards you in some capacity (havent thought what) there are systems here that can easily be taken and expanded on.

    4) Make cities seamless within themselves, I’m not asking for them to be connected seamless to the overworld just within themselves. The original 3 cities and Ishgard should be seamless, it would greatly enhance immersion but this is more a wish down the line. Furthermore allow anyone to world hop from any city… (this would in theory allow people who sit in Limsa due to distance from marketboard to Crystal being short) people would use Sharlayan more etc due to similar distances between crucial interactions.

    5) Speaking of interactions, they are getting there with QoL. There needs to be less delay between clicking and interacting with the world. I get servers and online nature dictates a lot but any speed up would be appreciated. Allow people to make combo buttons like it was in PvP to alleviate button bloat of a controller rather than removing abilities. In custom deliveries allow me when handing in ask how many I want to hand in so I can bulk hand in rather than just 1 at a time (unless I’m doing this wrong help me haha)

    6) Rework the leve system entirely, people made good ideas elsewhere with ways to do this and it’s a system that’s not been touched in so long and it’s only real purpose is fast exp for crafters and gatherers (This should be heavily nerfed on expansion launches cause I can spam 100 leves and likely levels half the crafter/gatherers to the new level cap)

    7) Rework their ilvl sync algorithm, the game is getting easier in some regards and less punishing for mistakes. I’m not asking to make it to the point we are wiping all the time but mistakes should punish. I shouldn’t as a DPS with 2-3 vuln stacks survive much more. Tankbusters should smash you hard no matter what. Healers should be having to heal more not even contemplate DPS as much ( I know other stances) AoEs should hurt if I stand in one I should be hurt not tickled.

    8) Make crafting and gathering more involved. We will min max eventually but when we get to the point of macro spamming it’s a bit like why bother just wait for someone on YouTube to min max a spreadsheet and follow it. Solutions could be to do expert recipes approach to all of it and have more ‘conditions’ I remember back in HW when it took ages to level these jobs and now it’s a cake walk.

    9) Make all stats be meaningful in some way rather than the same old crit, direct and det. Why even have materia for tenacity or spell speed etc when 9/10 times we don’t bother with it or it’s clearly not applicable with its market value always being a slither of what the others go for (or is that just a dominance of DPS and Tanks who depend on the main stars I mentioned) I would question the removal of all low level materia or remove the system altogether and rework gear down the line. New players get materia handed to them via MSQ etc and it’s a case of like nah don’t meld it because you will always be getting better gear until you hit the current end.

    10) Give new players the choice to start at 7.0 or 8.0 depending on how you’re approaching the narrative. We are getting to a point that a player will have to get through 300-500 hours of story and content to get to the current end before they can play with us. I personally think putting duty support and tidying up the dungeons etc is much needed and I want resources used for that because it will come to a point that we are so far ahead we barely have a need or want to run HW dungeons or SB content when we are in day 8.0. This allows new players to have less of a wall when they can still get through the main gate keep for the most part (outside of trials) You added in 6.1 the unending codex fill it with lore, it needs to be heavily expanded so you can say hey start here and read this if you’re lost but if you want to go and experience well here is NG+.

    These are just some things that spring to mind and like I said this is long term stuff as I know it would be more an 8.0/9.0 situation rather than a 7.0 unless they already have some of this in mind (doubtful)

    I'd love more multiple stage fates to be brought back, when you're fate grinding and do three in a row it feels so much more satisfying over going to the other end of the map and killing fifty squirrels. I even read the flavortext on the sequential ones to be like "oooh so wait what are we actually doing?"
