What do you do with old relic weapons?

I have fully upgraded resistance weapons from before Endwalker dropped and I like them for glamors but I can't put them in the glamor chest or the armoire and I don't know why. Do they just have to clog my inventory forever or I have to discard them? Am I missing something? Some sort of step to be able to store these in something other than active inventory or retainers? I'd like to get more relic weapons for the glamour but if I can't put them in the glamor chest that seems like it wouldn't be worth it.

I believe only replicas can be put in the dresser.

Relic weapons can't be stored because they have customizable stats. The Glamour Dresser would wipe that data same as spiritbinding and durability.

You buy the replicas if you want to store them, and if you have no future use for the originals, you discard them.

ARR relics can be traded to skip a step in the HW relic process.

HW relics serve no further use and can be discarded upon completion with replicas available.

StB Eureka weapons serve no further use and can be discarded unless you further upgrade to Physeos, where you might want to keep weapons for Eureka bonuses. This upgrade is not required for fully unlocking replicas, the upgrade provides no additional appearance change, and is only worth getting if you plan to spend additional time in Eureka zones.

ShB Resistance weapons, unless I'm mistaken, confer no such additional bonuses within Bozja regions, and thus serve no further use and can be discarded after you've unlocked your desired replicas.

I just throw them onto a retainer, but I'm the type of person that sells whatever I don't need so there's plenty of room on them.

I believe some relics (ShB era?) are considered best in slot for old ultimate fights so you may want to store them if you are interested in that content.

I know this is an old thread, but THIS type of behavior from SE makes me wonder about their thought process..

They want you to grind for them but then won't give a clean solution to store them. Why not allow them to be stored in a "Weapons" chest or something or at the very least, allow us to buy the ORGINAL if we have completed the weapon and discarded it.. ALL that work for a replica is just dumb. Not having a place to store them is just dumb.

I am in the process of getting them all because I like grinding, but still think it's dumb for SE to be so short sighted on such an obvious thing.

I'm bumping this old thread instead of starting a new one because I agree with Roehann.

I put in a lot of effort to get these relics. I really enjoy collecting relic weapons, old and new. I can't get myself to just discard it now, not after all the work I put into getting them. I don't want to just have a replica glamour. I'd like to show it off.

I like Roehann's weapon chest idea (that is only for relics). Or maybe a housing item like a weapon plaque that would work similar to a picture frame that we can interact with and hang our relic weapon on to display in our house (again, limit it to only relics).

Something other than taking up (now almost 70) inventory slots of my retainer.
