Yeah, that was me. I couldn't find stuff in time and scrambled only to make it with like almost no time left. It's nice when you don't have that disconnect between story and gameplay. If it's supposed to be dangerous and you just breeze through all I feel is disappointment. lol XIV is very guilty of that.

It's the only one of the RP duties that I've enjoyed myself but I do understand why many others didn't.

A lot of people have extreme anxiety if there's a timer running. They'll do perfectly fine when taking a test that has no timer but the moment a timer is mentioned or shown, the anxiety kicks in and they'll start panicking even if the amount of time allowed is more than enough to finish the test. A couple of my friends asked me if there was a way to turn off the timer display when they were doing it for the first time because its presence made them very nervous. If the normal instance timer was the only one displayed, they would have been fine.

For me, the concept was good but the execution was less than stellar. It needed a few more rounds of testing and a little bit more clarity. Stuff like burning barrels to indicate doorways, or a mob placed somewhere to show an area can be traversed. And a little bit more "sense" to the scenario like masses of enemies that insta kill you instead of invisible barriers.

I spent a lot of my time just trying to find an exit to the city to the EAST of the start position because it was the closest way out and had few enemies, whereas going deeper into the city with the masses of patrols just didn't make sense to me. Easy fix by having a large 1-hit-kill colossus type monster blocking you. Or snipers with some kinda indicator.

Would be a lot easier if people would stop playing games they suck at.

Because they see endgame raiders wipe runs in “braindead” content when sprouts have saved runs near instantly.

I will agree with Velkallor. If we actually took the advice of never playing games we suck at long ago, none of us would even be here. Someone would have to tell us where "The Balance Discord" is if we wanted to get the mathed out rotations. Some practice is needed to get a muscle memory going too.

I don't think its a problem until they venture into extremes/savage content. The game has gotten easier over the years (which is perfectly fine during the leveling experience) but because its gotten easier there is less reason for people to learn their kits and then you get people jumping into harder content with a mentality of not really caring about playing correctly.

I don't mind the current dungeon designs being as straight forward as they are.... but I would like them to be a bit harder. Being able to clear them in your sleep while potentially carrying 1 player who spams ice as a BLM is a little silly imo. Double pulling should be a bit more dangerous and boss fights in the dungeons should be a bit more nuanced. Not saying that dying should be an immediate wipe or anything, but I do think dungeons should focus a bit more on making people play correctly and should have more mechanics to them. And for the super casuals they can just go in with trusts that have a story mode with tuned down damage/mechanics.

It would definitely be nice if the capstone dungeons were less braindead. I'm hoping that the criterion dungeons are something they are testing for 7.0 to be like that middle ground and we'll get something like current expert roulette to be the new capstone roulette and expert roulettes will be the criterion dungeons that are a bit more challenging and will also provide early tier gear along with tomes.

I don't have time to carry a incompetent player who can't carry their weight in a fight to wipe everyone and not only waste my time but other's players time because you refuse to get better. If you have time to gossip and talk in a city you got time to get better. If I notice you mess up mechanics not once twice but multiple of times and been told how it happens and still refuse then you don't deserve to play. This isn't the game for you. Find something better that is suited for your skill level.
