Why do people avoid getting better at the game?

If you find the gameplay monotonous, why do you continue to pay for and support the game? By paying, you're sending the message that overall you're satisfied with what you are calling monotonous gameplay.

There are so many other games out there to choose from. Are all of those games monotonous to you as well so you would rather spend your money here instead of on them?


Same question to you. Why are you still here paying for the game if you feel it is so bad? Why are you not spending your money on a game you feel is better?

To answer your question there. We have voiced over and over what needs to be fixed and done to help make the game much better and impactful instead of being what it is now. Sadly Yoshi rather hear the voices of the weak players then people that have been here since the beginning and has seen the decline in content, difficulty and story. Endwalker story after the initial coat of paint wasn't all that great. So many things in the story just doesn't appeal anymore or even have impact. Let's take Y'shtola for example instead of having her die twice and brought back should of left her die to make it more impactful. So if she does in the next expansion and brought back who is really going to care. When doing dungeons and raids you don't even have to think anymore. You can go in mind numbingly and complete it but it doesn't feel rewarding.

The reason a lot of players hate how FFXIV has become casual is the fact that rewards are lackluster for completing anything. Time and time again we asked for much better horizontal gear progression. We asked for better U.I improvements. We asked for better job improvements. We asked for better PVP improvements. We asked for skill improvements. They took away skills for no reason i.e protection, stoneskin etc. Healers have been gutted time and time again. we have voiced this many many times but we get ignored because some casuals cry over something being hard or a job hard to learn. That is why we are angry They have had many years to improve these things but Yoshi thinks something like Island Sanctuary is the answer. No YOSHI it isn't you have something here that has great potential but instead you are shortening it and instead took your time away for a FFXVI that I don't even care about. This is why we are tired of Yoshi and his lies

No one is forcing you to play a game you feel is mediocre, at best. Indeed, why you are so passionate about being angry over it being what it is is mind boggling.
