When I want a break from this game, I usually play games have no combat involved (Cities: Skylines being my primary go-to).

If you want to say that FFXIV caters to players that prefer non-combat content, I can some truth in that. But it also caters to players who want combat. It provides content for both, with a slight emphasis on the combat side since going through the portions of MSQ and class quests is required to unlock even the non-combat features.

SE want the game to appeal to a diverse group of players and that's fine. The only players that seem to have a problem with that are those who want to feel special for playing a difficult combat focused game and this game is too diverse to fill that desire.

If you don't want to be known for playing a game that caters to players you consider "braindead", then don't play that game. It's not going to change because you toss around juvenile insults thinking you will wound someone's vanity enough to force change. They don't care. If anything, the insults just rebound back on you making you even angrier because you're still not getting what you want.

It's not up to SE to give you what you want. It's up to you to find it.
No matter what you believe, running from a to b to trigger a cutscene doesnt qualify as a game
