Almost every time I've seen someone give accurate advice in this game, I've seen it either casually dismissed, or aggressively dismissed.
Maybe because the advice is given aggressively? Because that ‘s not my experience. When I give advice, I do it nicely in an encouraging manner and I explain why. I usually get thanks and/or comms.

As for people not wanting to learn, no one likes being bad. Some people are naturally bad no matter how much effort they put into it (I know one such player with absolutely zero raid awareness and somewhat slow reflexes. She does put a lot of efforts trying to learn though). This game has more than just raiding and she likes that.

Some others can’t invest the time. When someone has 2-3 hours per week to play a game, they’re not going to spend the evening bashing a dummy, they want to progress the story and learn as they go. They’ll die along the way not knowing the mechanics and the markers in advance, most will end up with a decent rotation which may not be perfectly fine tuned and that’s ok.

Zepla quit the game because the Ultimates she did wore her out causing burnout. People complained mechanics were to easy, so ffxiv made them harder and this is the result. I mean why do I need to have muscle memory to complete these savages and Ulitimates? The elitist will burnout reducing there numbers reducing the elitist attitudes and toxicity.
Did the equivalent of savage raiding for years in another game and got burned out by the 2/3 times a week static group progs after work. I gave it a try in this game after a year break and the same feelings of disgust and fatigue I experienced when I got burned out came back after two weeks. I wanted to be anywhere but stuck doing the same content over and over again and feeling forced to log at specific times. I am having a lot more fun not doing that type of content any longer. I’ll join occasionally for that type of content when friends invite me for an evening but nothing else.
