Doesn't that go both ways.
Casuals saying 'elitism is toxic' then refusing to even learn to play the game and expecting others to drag them through content.
Elitists saying casuals should get good and stop dragging them down.
Both parties are toxic.
I don't see casual make daily protest and complain on here about how they're need to get gut.
A more welcoming atmosphere. People have no desire to join parties for harder content when they get judged for their skill level, holding everyone back, get called out and then people leave / the group disbands after a few minutes.
It’s a good thing not to answer your enemies. I scarcely ever do. Perhaps Emily is more like me than I am like myself. Perhaps she would rather not answer her friends, even. She keeps it all in her heart.
Those people would fail to hit 2 buttons in a 3 button job. I hate that we are probably at some point actually gonna be reduced to thatNot to mention the possibility of the dev team needing to account for the lowest common denominator of player skill, and therefore needing to basically strip jobs of the mechanics and decision-making that some players desire in order to accommodate. But that's something of a subjective issue, these days.
Ah man, they nerfed it? I love that duty, so much so that it's probably my favorite part of the expansion as a whole.
Regarding the main topic of this thread, I know a lot of the optional dungeons are still challenging compared to their MSQ counterparts. Still, even they get easier over time thanks to repetition, as Atelier and Midare have stated. I will admit that the game isn't as punishing as it used to be, thanks to nerfs, higher average iLvl, and other adjustments (like how skills refresh after a wipe).
If people actually used their buttons instead of still spamming cure 1 in lv90 content, then yes current dungeons would be a million times easier than mid ARR/HW dungeons where you are strippe off all your tools. When i get a tank that knows what to do, i never have to use half my kit cause its just that easyNo they don't. Are you going to seriously sit there and tell me tell me that Sastasha is harder than the Lapis Manalis, or that Ifrit on NM is harder than Cagnazzo?
The only thing about dungeons that gets easier are handling large trash pulls, and this happens as a result of getting additional abilities that help sustain the tank, and burn mobs to a crisp. That's it.
As far as dungeon bosses go, the difficulty just depends on the type of mechanics the devs decide to throw at the players, and how punishing they are for failing. A good example of a dungeon being less difficult than the dungeon before it would be The Aitiascope in comparison to Ktisis Hyperboreia. I've witnessed the last two bosses of the latter just wreck parties who are not prepared, thinking they'll just skate through these two goons. I'm not saying that the mechanics for these bosses are crazy difficult, but they do require you to pay attention to what is going onscreen instead of tunnel visioning in your rotation.
Difficulty is also relative. Just because something is easy for you, does not mean it is for everyone. Quit gaslighting.
Because no matter how challenging the content is, if the classes are designed for people that afk in limsa i wont have fun regardless
Wait things get easier in real life/trival?Almost as if once you mastered both your class and the encounter the content that run over and over again becomes trivially easy. Just like with everything in real life.
People like to point of Ivalice or Dun Scaith for being good examples for mid-core content and while TRUE....As somebody whom ran those raids multiple times for glams, I'm going to straight up tell you, those raids are piss easy for me. Learning mechanics isnt hard when you repeat them over and over again when you memorize them. Even back when Dun Scaith gets circulated into Moogle Treasure Trove so people run those frequently, the fact that during that period where we have players freshen up on the mechs, the raid itself becomes trivial because everyone knows it.
I personally see the difficulty fine as it is. We have the Savages and EXs for people whom want that extra bit of challenge and we have the regular dungeon, trial content for the rest of the playerbase whom lets face it, is an MMO thats catered to the very casual audience. If people avoid wanting to be challenged or get better thats THEIR issue. No need to force it on to the entire playerbase.
Man I still can't get out of bed without a war going on inside my head, then take pills then some how managing to burn water ...
I wish I was joking when I said this but if it was like real life we would be ... Going through hell 24/7
