Sure, but there's also no ignoring that there are people who just don't want to put in the effort to beat it.
While unrelated to In From The Cold, the other day I was running LotA. One of the DPS that was supposed to be attacking Atomos was instead focusing on the adds that the tank was dragging to the ranged on the pad. One of the healers asked the DPS to focus Atomos while us ranged killed mobs. The DPS said "No. It's just Labryinth, who cares? It's braindead content".
And it's like, I have seen the "It's just [insert duty]" as an excuse to not play properly for years. If it's such braindead easy content, how come people still can't do the content correctly? Unless they're not doing it correctly on purpose. Which coincides with people not wanting to get better or wanting to try.
And btw, naturally we wiped at the last boss. 'Cause it's "braindead".
Wiping on phlegathon is just tradition, going back years.
I'm honestly disappointed when we don't wipe lol.
I understand - But I think the point is being missed here. They already have this. This is what Duty Support is. I don't know if you've gone and done the dungeons they modified again but in most they didn't really change much. And in a couple like Sohr Khai they even made some good modifications that make things more consistent with visuals but added some spicy mechs to make things rather fun. For MSQ, Duty Support is the Story Mode. You can follow the NPCs if you don't quite get the mechs and they do a good job of keeping you healed.
Duty Support is a form of training wheels and solo play. It really takes more advantage of the solo play than it does being training wheels too.
ARR is a bicycle.
HW is a bicycle with slightly wider wheels..
Stormblood - Endwalker is a tricycle.
Now, we have Duty Support, I understand this - But I'm not asking for Training Wheels on a Tricycle. I'm asking for the Bicycle with the option for Training Wheels. I wish they would give a bigger bonus to Duty Support to provide an easier experience for those players - While also making normal casual gameplay in these dungeons more engaging at all aspects of the dungeon. Hallway simulator that min-maxes my pulls is just not fun.

Unfortunately, this is what the community wanted. "Wall to wall is the standard" is something you see often repeated around here. And those who say that don't like if SE puts in puzzles or alternate paths or just a wall to limit pull sizes like we saw in earlier dungeons. People want their 15 minute or less dungeon runs because they've got to get their roulettes done and how dare anything like someone who's less experienced or a nifty side area in a dungeon slow that down.
Wall2Wall is standard cause there is no difficulty, and instead of upping the difficulty they just made "wall2wall" the core of dungeons. YOu dont design a game around min maxed stuff. Might as well remove dungeons and just clicking them on the duty finder instantly grants you the rewards if they wanna design the game around "wanna get it done in 15minutes so im back to afking in limsa" crowdUnfortunately, this is what the community wanted. LOL it is NOT the people afking in Limsa crying about how long dungeons take. It's the people too impatient to wait for newbies. It's the ones who look down on others for not playing as well as they do. You see it all the time on these forums.Wall2Wall is standard cause there is no difficulty, and instead of upping the difficulty they just made "wall2wall" the core of dungeons. If it wasn't for wall2wall we would pull the whole dungeon and all the bosses probably. Maybe then a modern FF14 dungeon would trigger the happy chemicals in my brain for once.Wall2Wall is standard cause there is no difficulty, and instead of upping the difficulty they just made "wall2wall" the core of dungeons. I care what others think I'm hyper competitive however my hubby just wants to have fun. Not make a job out of his fun so as long as he can do the content he cares about he is happy. In turn I've given up ex content because if I'm doing ex content I was getting clears without him then he would want me to do it with him. He did clear some ex content normally it was a patch or 2 later.
If current ex content gave 3 or 4 times the tombs it word be worth it, but I cap tombs and log out for the week and to cap tombs quickly you don't need ex content to effort
I, too, hate when a game provides a range of content difficulties and allows players to do the content that matches their preferences.
This is a serious problem.
People would get better at the game (or quit queuing for randoms) if we were allowed to roast them for being bad. Unfortunately, we are now at a point where politely worded constructive feedback, even when phrased as a request rather than a demand or whatever else "sets people off" these days, is an actionable offense.
So, simply put: need to revert the TOS. Allow the shaming of people that are incredibly bad at the game, and we will see a decrease in the number of those people tainting the queues with their presence.

No it's not. That is misinformation spread by people who don't read the ToS (or taking it way out of context).People would get better at the game (or quit queuing for randoms) if we were allowed to roast them for being bad.
