Toxicity in Alliance Raids

Never seen that on NA's Primal DC, and I've been playing since 2.0's beta.

Yeah I don't see this on Aether either. Though I would love to hope this is still a rarity on Crystal which is the DC the Op is from. I do occasionally miss the days Balmung was part of Aether cause they'd make the Crystal Tower raids a bit spicy with some of their jokes. Nothing like the stuff in the Op, but you how they need to express their love for Scylla or getting eaten by Cerberus. Or when they find a way to make a dad joke have half of the raid tell them they need to go get a room.

The amount of “I’ve never seen it so it doesn’t exist” is baffling. Things do happen outside your own experiences.

People saying to just blacklist people mid-duty clearly don't ever use the blacklist function. You can't do it in a duty. And by the time you can, it's not immediately needed. If you could do it mid-raid then sure, that would work.

Also, telling people to turn their chat log off for the duration robs them of the ability to communicate with everyone on things that may actually matter, like saying to stop for cutscenes, that someone had to AFK for a second, or fight-specific stuff. It's not a solution.

I've also seen some pretty horrible things being said, but it's not exclusive to Crystal like someone else weirdly said. There needs to be a better blacklist function, SE needs to be stricter with punishing players who break the ToS via chat, and people should stop being so rude to each other.

But yeah, let's just reduce it to "I've never seen it, doesn't exist".

All am I gonna ask is if people are making these claims, can you at least provide screenshot evidence of the chat saying these things? Otherwise I cant in fair judgment vouch or believe in it since I personally never met actual degeneracy to that level in normal content.

Because I'm sure we've all seen toxicity at some point or another, but it wasn't this bad. Hence why people are pointing out how weird it is to make such a large claim.

I have never seen that on Aether in nearly 9 years of playing. Not that it can't happen on other DCs. Just not common at all on ours. Even if something starts up in shout chat, that usually gets no pun intended shouted down by the rest of the zone. We don't want to have to sit around putting up with that.

If you're seeing it a lot, make sure you report them.

Still see that now even without Balmung here. Especially the vore jokes. Or jokes about the final boss of Puppet's Bunker. Nothing too graphic and just being silly so it makes the runs rather fun.
