Toxicity in Alliance Raids

What is it with people in Alliances? How many times am I gonna have to put up with cringe people joking about domestic violence or sexual abuse in alliance chat and not get punished for it??? Please, can we have a way to mute these people, even if it is client side?

My understanding is that this "toxicity" is only apparent in western data centres which is why the Japanese based developers have not considered making the existing blacklist option exclude people from being matched and wipe their comments from any chat.

If people are making comments which break the acceptable chat rules (and the incidents you have stated clearly do violate those) then please report them. Yes I know it is a pain to report them especially whilst in a duty. It's almost as if the system is geared against people actually being able to report others in these instances.

Hopefully, if people report this very vocal minority of players the others who thing that such talk makes then big or clever will get the message when the ban hammer eventually falls.

You'll find toxic behavior anywhere. NA has our own issues which are obvious. I've seen it in OCE and EU as well (particularly towards NA). I haven't personally been to JP but hear stories about how they immediately remove anyone who isn't a native to JP from groups because they dont want to deal with anyone else. Dunno why people try to make it a western only problem when every DC (and frankly every country in the world) has some toxic minority inhabiting it.

It's called dehumanizing people you don't like. It's easier to find the bad guy and "Punch a _____." rather than see why X is happening by looking at a situation objectively, lol.

I literally havent been in a chatty alliance raid in months. Usually all i see is "hellos" at the start, and people pointing out if we have cutscene watchers at the last boss. Is this some new thing in the CT roulette(which i have long considered unplayable and thus dont que for), or maybe more of a Crystal DC issue i wonder? Or maybe im lucky in avoiding idiots. Tough to tell.

This has to be a new and rare thing. Cause even the most rude chats in Alliance Raid I've never seen this. There might be some dirty jokes here n there depending on which raid. Yet I've never seen or at least don't remember anything that the Op is saying that is happening.

Have you considered removing your chat window for the duration of the raid? Also, I never had that happen to me in 10 years playing. Huh

First - I never seen those kind of joke, or they happen rarely enough that I can't remember if I ever see them.

Second - you can mute them, it's called Blist. Or you can turn Alliance chat off.

Third - crying on the forum won't get the offender banned, enough people report them will. Had you done "your" part for the cause? (aka reporting them).

Fourth - if you did report them, how do you know nothing were done to them? Did you stalk them to find out 'cause SE don't tell you even if they meter our punishment.

Fifth - since it's not a widespread issue, you must be extremely unlucky to running into that issue repeatly, or even run into the same players frequently ... assuming you're not exaggerating of course.
