    New job idea

Tamer and bestiary, the bestiary allows you to use monsters that you encounter to help in battle such as summoner or maybe use the tamer system with something existing already in the game such as minions and the bestiary can be a way to properly list and show how to aquire all minions, my friend Link Nintendo thought this idea up and I support it

I could see this as a limited job, collecting various enemies then using them to overcome challenges similar to Blue Mage. I think a normal job Beastmaster / Tamer would be a bit difficult for them to do as it’d fall into the same pitfalls Summoner is in. Either the pets gets in the way and are too involved, or they’re there for a second and disappeared. Saying that, I could see such a job as a normal one if it’s ‘summon/taming’ abilities just called the animal out for the attack rather than being a proper pet. But then, that’s also quite a big compromise if the point is for there to be a ‘Beastmaster’ type job

Classic BST did just that, poofing a beast into existence for a single attack like classic SMN. Classic BST's other gimmick, enemy control, would not work in XIV's combat paradigm.

I would love to see a bestiary added to the game, especially if it unlocked lore snippets as you won more encounters against the mob in question.

I think the problem with Tamer/Beastmaster style jobs is that you would not be able to implement it in a way that satisfies players expectations. If you're collecting and using tamed mobs' abilities, that functionally is similar to BLU. If you're going for a pet-based job, it's worth remembering that we've moved away from placeable pets with their own HP bars towards having pets as glorified animations. The only variant that we haven't seen yet is a job that transforms into a non-humanoid form either partially or in full. But if you went that route and called it a 'Beastmaster', you'll have a lot of players coming back and endlessly complaining that it doesn't match up with previous iterations in the series (see: DRK not using HP as a resource). We could get a shapeshifter at some point, but it's likely to be called something completely different.

Split archer at thirty into beastmaster with a bow and three different optional pets he can capture from a list of world monsters each pet could have a specific focus like specific buffs to the beastmaster . Then bards could be reworked to use a harp and songs as magical range damage to buff Allie’s debuff enemies with songs.
