    Could not connect to Steam, again

    I have the usual "Could not connect to Steam" issue that blocks the launcher.



    I assume it will be fixed in a few minutes as always, but in the meantime I'm complaining here.

    Please let us convert to non-steam accounts ...

    Don't hate only Steam.
    Also hate SE for implementing the account link without any workaround in case Steam has issues.
    Linking our Steam account didn't add anything for us players.

    Yes once again the identical login problems via Steam...

    I just don't get it, every time players complain and ask that we can disconnect our accounts from Steam. Why doesn't anyone at Square Enix care about this?

    Oh I think they care, but I also think that they want to see a lot of FFXIV players in the Steam charts, for PR and "aura" purposes… and to achieve this, they need us to be bound there.
