That would work but then when is it going to be implemented if everyone keeps saying "just mute the entire sound effects for other players", why would they bother then ? Then it stays a temporary solution and there never is an actual permanent solution.Wow. How very ignorant of you to presume likes that. Mao is VERY sympathetic with OP. Mao has difficulties of different kind for playing game. Difference between OP and Mao though is that is way for OP to at least temporarily deal with difficulties. Mao does not. If Mao had way to deal with Mao's problems already built in game, Mao would use it. Mao is glad that Midareyukki sympathetic to OP but Midareyukki should check ignorant attitude at door when talkings about others. Mao hopings that some day will be more quality of life features built into game to helps OP and others but until then OP needs to use what is available.

Can be done if peoples keep asking for QOL things. May not happen rights away but hopefully down the road, more features will be added. Mao is all in favor of more QOL adjustments.
And that's why this thread was made, but was instantly criticized by people saying "TOUCH GRASS !" "DUH JUST TURN SOUNDS OFF !" ", as if it's a solution, while the OP is asking for an OPTION, this was a suggestion and OP is asking and giving feedback about a potential option for it.

Instead of bashing OP for not stopping at the most direct, obvious, temporary solution, why are people not taking into consideration what was said already and realize that it's just a call for QoL options? One that might take the devs work to do later down the line, like Mao said.
OP just had a request. "Allow us to mute crafters". It entails being able to separate Sound Effects into categories. OP also stated why they felt this would really help.
Are there other ways to go around? Absolutely. Is this so unreasonable? Not at all, we already have a mute-all in the options. The caveat is that this will indeed "mute everything", and for some people this may be inconvenient. Some people might want chat sounds on. Some people might want to be able to listen to other sound effects, just not the really grating or loud ones, of which Crafters are indeed overloaded with.
T: this isn't a matter of having to go outside and touch grass. This sort of attitude is warranted in some cases, but I personally don't think this one is necessary.
And by the way? There's a plug-in that allows you to mute select things.
A plug-in, however, is not a real tool. It modifies the game in ways that no other videogame would allow, even if they were this generous. It allows you to specifically isolate sound effects and mute them. Now, before I get accused of anything again, I'm not saying we should totally have that as a feature. But the mere fact some people use it and feel relieved by its presence indicates there's more to this topic overall than meets the eye. Perhaps people should consider that instead of telling others to touch grass and making OP feel uncomfortable needlessly.
my post wasn't to complain, it was actually to put the suggestion out there. So people can be aware and so my feelings about it could be heard until change could be made. Like, in the case Square actually reads forum post, as Blizzard does, which has been proven to lead to actual changes before. At least in Blizzard's case.
Not to debate with a bunch of angry "do it yourself" boomer "you're too lazy to help yourself" mentality Andies. And it's funny, they are so fumed and pressed that they assume I don't already mute the game around crafters and are acting toxic because "you won't actually use the temporary resolution", when I already freaking mute the game as the temporary resolution lmao. They really need to cope. I simply mute the game around crafters, however, the point is that people shouldn't mute other aspects of the world just to mute crafters, just because I said that I shouldn't have to, that DOES NOT MEAN I DON'T ACTUALLY DO IT.
These people need to get a life, because they are too triggered and jumping to conclusions like children. Mad, for what. They are being intense and more upset about the situation than me, the original person is. Clearly, they need to touch grass, not me. But I guess that's what happens when people feel like they are entitled to their preferred changes to be mad over a quality of life feature. And feel like it'll be neglected in exchange. Honestly, I'm a grown black man, albeit an Autistic black grown man, I really don't have the patience for these people in this thread anymore and got more important things that actually affect me irl to worry about than feed into the nonsense. For my mental health, I'm done with it.
Posting something takes a second, I stopped responding, clearly they care more than I do, but I guess I need to touch grass for making a suggestion that literally only took 1 minute of my life to make. While they are here malding because I had the AUDACITY to make a post and want something to be changed.
