I agree it's annoying as hell. And all it takes is 1 to march over and start crafting to shit the place up. You can mute it in options but it mutes a whole lot of other sounds as well. A simple selective sound mute option would work wonders. I bet some modder in his basement probably rolled a QoL element like this out ages ago, but I certainly wouldn't know of such a thing.

The lack of compassion in this thread is disappointing but not surprising.
As a fellow person with sensory issues, I can totally relate. Many sounds - especially those not under my control - are triggering to me on a visceral level.
I second the advice of getting an apartment (if a house is out of the question). They are easy to teleport to and you will likely have the marketboard and stables all to yourself.
I probably have most of the sound options set to mute… other’s skills, bard performances, mount music, etc. The background music is really amazing in this game but sometimes I have to turn that off too.

Mao confusled. Is nots there already setting to remove or reduce ambient sounds?

Speaking as someone who is on the autism spectrum, I feel as though I'm responsible for managing this myself. And I can by either muting the game's sound, or going somewhere that others aren't crafting. I'm going to assume anyone into crafting can at very least afford an apartment, which has a marketboard right outside, and can be set so that only you can enter.
It would be a nice little QOL thing, but I don't want to see them devote any serious resources to it.

As if it would take "serious resources", come on lolSpeaking as someone who is on the autism spectrum, I feel as though I'm responsible for managing this myself. Really, tping to Limsa feels like going to a construction site most of the time

Um...are crafting sounds their own category? How long would it take to make them their own category? How many manhours goes into adding a new UI slider for this new category? Do you have any answers to these questions? These guys can't even add a glam dresser in a house. It wouldn't surprise me to find out this task would take a small team 20 hours or more to complete.
It's not that they can't they choose not too. It's been stated that they have no plans to do it. Me guess is, once they add that to houses, Inns become completely pointless since that's the last thing that can't go in a house. Personally I'd rather they do this. Inns are kinda pointless now as it is EXCEPT for glamours.
Actually, better idea, just make it part of the UI so I can add an item to the glamour dresser where-ever I am (albeit would still have to be at an aetheryte).
