    Knowing the release date based on live letter.

    This is a very good thing that helps with statics trying to schedule their raids for the new tiers. Why is the live letter saying they want to break this trend? I only see more information about release date to be a good thing.

    It's likely to avoid giving a hard date in case they need to push it back a week. By saying just Late May it gives them a bit of room because it could come out on the 23rd or the 30th. While it definitely sucks not to know more when we're less than a month out (like seriously it would be more understanding on the last Live Letter but not this one) I can sort of see where they are coming from.

    Was there something mentioned in Japanese that I missed...?

    The release date was given in this Live Letter, and all the translations I've found just say that Yoshi-P commented on the predictability of the patch release date, not saying anything about wanting to break the trend.

    Well, it being this way is good. Because they still reserve the right to say it will take longer. And unless something like that goes wrong they can just have this. At least I can understand this though, because if its a trend too long then its like they're endorsing it as a predictor. Thanks.

    Maybe the translation i received was bad then. It was translated that he mentioned wanting to break the trend.
