    I think it's great that me and my chocobo will be able to work together in new and exciting ways in 2.0. However, with great adventure comes great danger!

    What are the consequences of losing a battle fought with a chocobo that you've raised?

    If my little Rolanberry died on me, I'd be heart broken. And I didn't even raise him! Losing a chocobo would be too sad to comprehend! They're not just gear, they're our buddies!

    When your body dies, your soul returns to the aether, where it is condensed into a new aetherial body.

    It makes sense the same would be true for any ally or pet.

    They probably just Return when you do (if you die). Chances are they just disappear when they are KO'd and you have to call them when the battle is finished.

    I know that some folks might point to the chocobo situation as an opportunity to draw painful death penalties... but please, not the chocobos. ; ; I beg of you! They are innocent little birds!!
