Eureka orthos is good fun

I'm having good fun in Eureka orthos. I've just been doing it solo the whole time and I've only managed to get to floor 31 buts it's hell fun. More than potd where mob damage is very high.
Love challenges which are solo as well as group just like variant dungeons which are soloable as well as group mode.
Even though the mechanics are very punishing it's very satisfying to clear them and rewards are cosmetic.
This is what I had hoped tourghast would have been.
Difficulty balance is so right.
I can play many classes as solo.
It is a bit time consuming as it takes 40-45 mins to complete 10 floors and it might take me months to do this purely solo(since I can give Max 2hrs a day) but this is my "ultimate raid".

glad you like it, i liked the first 2 but this one sucks, its to punishing and takes to long. they gave boss level mechs to mobs that one shot people, its absurd and not fun at all.

I'd try the solo if mobs did not respawn. I have no desire to attempt a static group because it's impossible to find capable and dependable people with no lives lol

How did you manage to solo all the way to floor 30 from zero aetherpool? I honestly don't see how this is do-able. The mobs take a long time to kill so there isn't enough time to level up in order to beat the floor 10 boss.

I like Orthos a lot,
it's a good middle ground of potd and HoH
potd had dull mobs but good bosses
while HoH has cracked mobs with dull bosses
Orthos has interesting mobs and boss design

also having an actual boss at 99 is nice.

I found 1-10 hard (since it's my first proper deep dungeon and have no prior solo exp). Wiped couple times then got my kill.
Managed to 1 shot 11-20 since it felt much easier than 1-10.
21-30 felt like a stepup with untelegraphed aoes. Once i did 21-30, 1-10 felt easy as I started getting better at the game and at deep dungeons.
1-10 was a bit of an issue at zero aetherpool since the 30% enrage behemoths was tough.
Now I'm at floor 61 solo and I'm loving it (except when I wipe)

Mob respawn isn't to bad if you try to kill mobs 1by1. If you try aoe them down then it will take a while. Initial levels are slow due to this but it's worth it when you make progress and go past your previous best.

Scholar, White Mage, Sage can all solo from +0/+0 Aetherpool though the time can be tight. Warrior probably can. It's doable but it's way faster to level gear in a group. DPS require Orthos Potions so doing it from +0/+0 on them isn't viable.
To level Aetherpool gear the strategy is to queue matched party 21-30. Tiamat Clone gives a guaranteed +1/+1 along with a decently high rate of leveling up from any silver chests it's quite quick.
