Active Servers for a newbie

Hello!

I come from another MMO and looking to find my place in FFXIV. I am seasoned on the MMO scene and an active raider for end-game content as well as RP!

I have very recently started up a Samurai on Raiden. However, I get the impression that it's not an active server.

Are there any servers I should consider transferring to?

Are there any active guilds/companies that would take in a mere l55 samurai?

I am generally active UK - weekday evenings and weekends daytime.

IRL - I am older (over 40!!!!), but very much into strength training, fast cars & motorcycles.

Looking to make new friends here

Gonna be real with you, this forum is not the best place to ask for an FC invite. You can try the EU Community Finder and see if any stick out to you: https://eu.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodes...munity_finder/ (just may need to adjust the drop down options at the top to select your DC/server)

As far as active EU server I can't really voice on but the server you were put into is the newest one so it's not necessarily dead but just lower population than the others due to that (and most likely where all of the newbies are getting funneled into now upon creating their first character if it's anything like the new NA servers). Really any of the others available on your data center should suit your needs if you're not interested in helping to grow a newer server.

Raiden and Alpha are new servers on the EU Light data center. While you can choose to join any other server, you also have the option to temporarily move to a different server by using an Aetheryte in any big city to see if you would enjoy playing on that server before committing to it.

Honestly this forum and the game you will see it's not the best place. You should of went to another MMO. I can tell you from 9 years of playing this game that it will lose it's vibrancy shortly and just be a dull MMO with Final Fantasy slapped onto it.

Ugh just ignore the previous comment. You’ll have a lot to do up until Endwalker trust me.
RP fc’s will exist on every server for sure, you can do a /shout in Limsa and I can promise you someone will invite you.

Here you can look at the population count and decide, I don’t suggest moogle unless you speak french.

You cant say this while youre here and are actively playing the game. In fact this just makes you look even worse by comparison
