Don't chop miqo'te ears off with hats

As the title said

I dislike being given hats/ hoods that now remove miqo'te ears. Please stop making headpieces that cover miqo'te heads and remove their ears entirely. Make headpieces with ear slots so the ears poke through, instead of clip through or vanish. Some early headpieces have cut outs for ears, can we please go back to that?

Also, design hats for Viera. I want my Viera RDM to wear the red mage hat

I buy hat just to take off the ears. I am a former Hyur and am use to not having annoying ears to look at. I do love the eyes and overall body skeleton.

I rather the ears get hidden than them cutting extra holes in the hats... Or have ear pockets.

IMO it's hit and miss with me in regards to the holes or pockets in headgear for Miqo ears. Some items it looks fine. Others not so much. However given that cat ears aren't made of bone they aren't really necessary from a functional standpoint. It would be like cutting holes in the sides of headgear that cover the full head for the races with humanly placed ears.

Even if they aren't made out of bone, they're still cartilage. Folding up your ears to fit under a hat would be extremely uncomfortable for any length of time. Try folding your ear over and holding it there, that's what it would feel like for a miqo'te.

And in real life, headgear does have space for your ears. Just look at motorbike or football helmets. It's just ours don't stick out far from our head so you don't notice it as much, but extra space is still there.

Thank god people who actually just want to play hyur don't speak for all Miqo'te.

I absolutely want them to bring back the ear holes and ear pockets, if I wouldn't want to see my ears I'd play a different race.

Do the ear pockets make no sense? Absolutely, but neither do the frog suit, the kpop outfit and all the other goofy "current year fashion" glamours in this fantasy game, realism went out the window years ago. So I'll gladly suspend my disbelief as to whether or not these helmets are in any way practical if it means my cat race keeps their cat ears.

PLEASE. It drives me nuts. Like, do I think the ear pockets are a little silly? Absolutely. I prefer the cutouts, for the most part. But things like caps, in particular, that totally crop the ears... It looks so weird to me.

And I'm playing a miqo for a reason. While more flexibility with customization is always a good thing imo, I don't think erasing a race's physical differences in that way is the right direction to walk that philosophy in. Not even letting them clip through just feels beyond lazy lol.

Also... not what this thread is about, but I miss the tail cutouts too. u_u
