Marking gear from other used classes

Is there a way to see or mark gear I'm using in other classes or jobs in my armoury chest? A problem I've had is accidentally selling items I'm using in other jobs or classes.

I want to avoid my chest from filling up so I want to sell items I don't use but it's hard to keep track of what my other roles are equipped with. Is there a way to see if an item is assigned to a class I'm also using or maybe mark them?

The little note mark on the bottom right of the item's icon indicates that it's part of one of your gear sets.

Also check settings for a flag to not auto put new gear in armory chest. This way new stuff will be added in inventory, so you can browse and sort it more easily.

+1 to this and it should really be the default. New equipment should go to the inventory so that only things you actually use or plan to use are in the armoury chest because you moved them there on purpose. Over the course of your adventuring career you will acquire far more equipment pieces that you don't intend to keep than you will pieces you plan to use.

This is subjective. I only find it useful on my character who keeps minimal gear due to only playing mage classes.

For the others, I can't afford to leave my armoury chest deliberately empty, and it's no more work to go through the armoury chest tossing things into inventory than it is to go through the inventory putting things back in there. And having them go straight to the armoury chest makes it less likely that I'll miss equipping an upgrade.

It is more work to go through the armoury chest to move things back to inventory because the armoury chest has 11 tabs and you have to find the few things you don't want to use hidden among a sea of things you do want to use. To move things to the armoury chest from the inventory you only have one inventory (we don't even need to consider all the tabs because in practice if you keep your inventory tidy you will have all equipment in the same cluster) and the ratio of DistractingGear:UsableGear will be lower so you don't have to work as hard to find things you want to move (again, if you keep your inventory tidy).

If these things are not true, someone probably has worse inventory management problems that need fixing.
