Genuine question. Balmung is locked because there are too many people there. But people just make a character on Dynamis and then DC travel to balmung. So now they're a character taking up space in balmung anyway. How is this any different than just letting people make characters here? Wanderers and Travelers come here and literally never leave anyway. Does the server not mind if the people taking up space traveled here from somewhere else first?

The difference is that if people can make characters there they end up making whiny posts about lack of housing and how they can't move to Dynamis because of their story lines, or something. It's better for everyone they are forced to create characters somewhere else.

Every other server will do that too, because at this point everyone else out-hornys Balmung by leagues. Everyone who tries to post all the horny into shout chat are overwhelmingly between three groups: travelers, wanderers, or level 5 alts of people from other servers who don't want to erp on main and think Balmung is where to go for that so they created characters on Balmung. Tired of it tbh.

This is completely true. While there are degenerate locals, the vast majority of them are visitors. I see a lot more people from coeurl especially in Uldah than I see people from balmung. Wish they’d go there
