My issue is that patches used to provide days, potentially a week or two of content. In the 6.X cycle I'm lucky to get ~4 hours of content.

This is a lie. Post patch content never really took "a week or two" especially in patches that didn't include the raid tier. At best you might get a day or two worth of content, and that's very gracious. If you took any longer than that, you just weren't playing the game as often, period.
Been playing since ARR and this has pretty much been the consistent content feed since at least SB in a similar time table.
